Actually the third movie leaves no questions left. All the questions that were left hanging from the first two are answered. The story is complete resolved on revolutions. Trust me

I just read the Rolling Stone Review and all I have to say is stick to hiring hot girls for the covers. They completely missed the whole point of the ending. Neo was never meant to destroy anything, he was the messiah, "Jesus", Jesus\' death didn\'t bring the destruction of something, it brought peace between humans and pardoned them for their sins. Neo did the same, he didn\'t destroy the enemy he made peace with them. I don\'t think they hinted for any other sequel, the architect, like mentioned in the movie, is all about balancing equations. Therefore his take on the peace not lasting is his way of seeing the equation balanced. But like the oracle also mentions in the movie, he doesn\'t capture the idea of choice and hope. The sun rising I think represents the new beginning or era of peace between the humans and the machines. With a sunrise you get the feelings of something new, like the new life of the people of zion and the matrix. The ending was the best way to let this movie go out. I bet all those critics failed literature class when they had to analyze books...which Im doing now so Adios!!

The trilogy is great. There is no other trilogy that you can think off that had this kind of deep story. Even if it\'s not "original", If you think that people just like the special effects, well go back to the 1600\'s b/c now you can\'t see a movie that doesn\'t use them..

It\'s just a shame that in reality the series is not deep in the least little bit and after you watch Revolution\'s, you realize the second one, was two hours of pretenious bullshit for no reason other than a cop-out ending.

I agree that there is no other trilogy out like this, but #2 really was a let down compared to #1.

Will have to wait till tomorrow for #3.

Thank you . I was trying not to lose my temper and mention \'The Godfather\'.

And while the Indiana Jone\'s series may not feature a deep story - it is also a great trilogy.

You\'re a friggin\' dork. Godfather III may not be the greatest, but it was a fitting way to end the trilogy.

Matrix had a first good installment and nothing since. The sequels have sucked. Good grief, you people are severly f**ked in the head..

I don\'t know what yer complaining about. Not everyone prefers drama over action flicks. Others prefer comedy. Who\'s screwed n the head? If ya can\'t tolerate other people\'s difference of opinions then you got one too many bolts in yer head.

I saw it.

It\'s quite different from the first two.  Not quite sure what everyone is saying about the storyline, but SirMystiq is correct in saying that it answers pretty much every question..  And yes, it certainly is not[/i] hinting at another sequal if anyone ever said that.

Oh, and kudos to me for being the only person in the world to figure out exactly how Neo managed to stop the sentinels at the end of the second movie.

How can you say it did not hint at a sequel?

The Orcale said she believed they would see Neo again. There was comments made on how long the peace would last, both from The Orcale and Acritech.

It hinted towards a sequel.
