How much of a graphical leap do you think will take place from this gen to the next?  

Do you think graphics have almost reached a point of saturation?  There\'s only so many polygons you need for a sphere before it becomes unnoticeable.

Do you think videogames will ever need or reach the amount of detail you see in movies like Finding Nemo, Matrix, Lord of the Rings, etc?

Will the next generation of consoles have noticeable graphical gaps?

I think we\'ll see a leveling of graphics, like you\'ll see big games like GTA and True Crim with splinter cell type graphics.

Okay, now for a bigger question...do you think the level of interaction will continue to increase to the point of realism?

A.I. that thinks for itself...

Take Metal Gear or Splinter Cell for example...will games continue to blur lines between games and reality?  When is it too much?

Oh, we have a ways to go before we can call in-game graphics and AI anywhere near perfect..

I think there\'s still a really long way to go, but I also think that when it\'s due, the production of games will change...
since by that time graphics can be real, there\'s no point in creating (for instance) a new tree, house, airplane, or whatever for every game.....(this is also because it would cost way too much time/money to build everything from the start up) I think things will get standardized and built upon from that aspect...so instead of creating entirely new games all the time, they will just expand the previous ones...

maybe there\'ll even be companies specialized in merely creating objects n stuff...so U get like a tree building company or something along those lines. Or a company that specializes in car physics etc etc...
these parts then can be bought by other companies who will put them together to create games...

^ very interesting.

With downloadable content looming on the horizon I don\'t see that being far fetched at all.

Games have changed focus over the years and there is definitely an effort to create living, breathing content.  I suppose something like The Matrix is far off but will games shift in that direction?

i think eventulally vviedeogames will be more true than your life. so real, and its all fake.

Why do all the consoles have frame rate issues. Most games running at 30 instead of 60, also slowdown problems as well.  Some games are incredible and run at high framerates, like Soul Calibur 2.  I\'m not a Tech guy.  Maybe somebody can explain why we still have framerate problems.  One thing\'s for sure when I was playing Combat on my Atari 2600 in 1982, I would have never imagined playing games like Final Fantasy, Shenmue. Silent Hill 2-3, Halo, and Metroid Prime.  The games are looking better and better.  I just picked up Battlefield 1942 and man it blows me away where games are heading.  Doom 3 will probably raise the bar for FPS.
