i remember reading an article years ago about how square soft said they were almost burnt out on making final fantasy games (this was around when ffVIII came out i think) good thing that didnt happen

Pity, they can\'t seem to get anything else to stick.

Last I read back in \'99 or so they said they are commited to making up to Final Fantasy XV.

What I\'m REALLY hoping for is a sequel to FF IX...my favorite of the FF franchise.

heh..i\'m hoping for a sequel to VII..i know they\'re making a movie "advent children" but i was hoping they would make a game as i think the ending of VII didn\'t really close out the story.

I\'d rather have a complete FFVII remake with new Golden saucer stuff and side quests than another FF

Great.

The characters are still gay, though.

I enjoyed FFX but i think it was easier than any of the others by far. Im re-playing FFVII and i love FFVIII. The leap in the grafic department was amazing. Anyway this does look very FFX-esque and that is somewhat of a let down. I want to get away from the friggin jungle and tribal folks that dont really seem all too tribal in the first place.

I wouldnt mind getting back to a futuristic setting. I never tire of these games really but the appeal has greatly decreased. Tactics was definately a high point for me but sooner or later, they will either have to come up with something extremely refreshing or kill the FF series. But knowing how the industry is heading now, id say they will continue to milk it until it shrivels.

I am with Vivi.Everything about FF7 was perfect. It would be great to see graphical perfection as well as otheri mprovements that can lend from this generation.
Its kind of sad to play FF7 now with graphical obsolence while there are tons of other RPGs with better graphics but cant reach FF7s perfection on other aspects

:(  yeah, i realized that too recently... i hadn\'t played the game for a long time- being occupied with the VIII,IX,X... then i went back to VII in may, and the regular graphics are nothing compared to the stuff on ps2

But I do enjoy one thing about FFVII graphic even though it is weak compare to nowaday graphic.  They use superdeformed and it look quite decent in battle.  I gotta love the camera angle.  Looks good, for old people they complain about giving them headaches but i love the amazing camera angles movement.
FFX graphic are much better, but i hate the character design, motion blur anyone?  If you have interlaced tv, you can\'t stand the annoying flickering and motion blur.  I try it on HDTV and the motion blur isn\'t that annoying.  Not to mention out of focus.  Its videogame, but FFX focus was on the front of the camera, and they make the distance blurry.  Really irritating if you have analog tv.  But that\'s okay on progressive scan tv.  I hate FFX boring camera movemen in battle.  I don\'t like the guy in charge of camera movement in FFX, he make the camera angle boring.  He should move the camera angle a lot so we can see the detail of the ffx graphic.  He said it gives him motion sickness.  What a jerk he is.
So, I am looking forward to see this on the new FF series:
- no motion blur
-put everything on focus
- get rid of black borders (or better let us manually adjust the screen size via remote control.)
-use the camera more like moving it and zooming, and several camera scene for the same part.
-widescreen option

That\'s what I want to see on future FF.  I also wanted to see FFVII remake, hopefully its in high definition.
