I hate the XP look.

All round- bleh.

I just am gonna stick with 2k, and just continue to customize my colors.

Right now I have a blue fade thing. Its cool.

Anyone else customize the color layout?

I don\'t like the default XP blue/green color combo, and I don\'t like those skin programs... they slow my comp down too much for what they are worth.  I just switched it over to the chrome color theme and that\'s it.

They built a whole program around a hacked uxtheme.dll, which only serves to complycate switching styles. I much more prefer the visualstyles themes over Wb themes but StyleXP is unnecessary.

Well, it seems I can\'t be trusted. ;)

With help from nO-One (thanks buddy :D) I modded my desktop a little. I\'m not sure this is final, since I just started today, but I do like it so far.

EDIT: It looks like it\'s an internal IP, so it might not be so important. Or, I\'m totally wrong, and Bill Gates is hacking him as we speak. :D

StyleXP is only an interface to apply themes. It also uses a modded uxtheme.dll so I don\'t really see the problem.

Modding the uxtheme.dll manually is just work if you ask me. I might do it the next time i reinstall winxp though but right now I\'m fine using StyleXP. No problems whatsoever with it.

But if I decide to use the hacked uxtheme.dll, how would I go about building a theme to use with it? Just use Stylebuilder or do you use something else?

Some literature on the topic would be appreciated. Like how to apply the new uxtheme.dll, how to display themes etc...
