Phobia\'s...
« on: December 04, 2003, 11:03:09 PM »
What are your phobia\'s? .

Mine are:

Closed in or tight spaces.

Insects / Spiders.

Those few things freak me out faster than anything. I love water and I love heights, so I didn\'t pick up either one of those things from my parents.

Serious answers, please.
:)

Heights, but only if it\'s an old building, I love flying and started lessons this summer.

Spiders, but only from 2" across upwards, they just move strangely and kill their prey horribly.

Yes...Huge Spiders just scare the crap out of me. Any other ones are just tiny and not worth it.

Heights...like stated before, from old buildings -- had plenty of dreams where I die falling :-P

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

No phobias. Though I do get disgusted by worms and slugs but I don\'t climb the walls to get away from \'em.

Wasps are just a pain in the arse.

I stroke the really massive bees though, they seem quite placid if you don\'t screw around with them. They like being stroked between the wings, it makes them buzz without doing anything aggressive.

Maybe I wouldn\'t try that in the US though, what with the Africanised honey bees!!

This may sound wierd but here goes.

Simpsons dolls, balloons or any 3d models of simpsons characters. They Just don\'t look right in 3d, that wierd mouth and those two bulging huge eyes, they are just supposed to stay 2d and that\'s it.
I remember I once saw some parade on tv yes TV and they had these huge Simpsons balloons and I was like ewww that\'s just scary...almost changed the channel.

It\'s not like it scares the shyte out of me, just gives me the heeby jeebies.

As I told you...wierd.
I recently discovered that my ass is the key to the universe.....now I must fight to protect my ass from those who might abuse it!!!

Mine is heights.... My dad was a firefighter and took me up into the basket once I thought it was the coolest thing (i was 7) and then 2 stories up he pretended the thing was broken and that we were gonna fall, FREAKED ME OUT....

So to get over it I jumped out of a plane. 200+ times now, and I hate to admit it everytime the side door opens and that cool air hits my face ( yes even when its 110 here the air is still cool at 10,000 feet) i get a little freaked out.
When did I realize I was God? One day I was praying and suddenly realized I was talking to myself.[/font]

The dark. Its not like I sleep with a night light or anything but whenever I\'m walking around late at night I always get the feeling that someone is in shadows watching me.

I had a philosophy teacher who FIRMLY believed that people\'s phobias are based on past-life experiences. He told the class that people who are deathly afraid of water may have had a horrible experience(or even died) in their past life involving water. The same goes with heights, bugs, etc. I jokingly asked him about the dark and he said that maybe in a past life someone was attacked by someone hiding in the shadows. That kind of creeped me out seeing as how I always feel like someone is in the shadows watching me.

It\'s got to be wasps. If one comes near me I start running and they seem to chase me.
