Here goes:

From Beyond
Re-Animator
Braindead
Cannibal Holocaust
Flowers of Flesh & Blood (haven\'t seen it all, but dang that was sick)
Grandma\'s house
I spit on your grave
Basket Case (the first one, the rest were shyte)
Hellraiser (the first two, and only the uncut versions)
Slugs (just because it was such a bad movie)
Phantasms
The Blob (\'88 remake, been a favourite of mine since I was a kid)

And a whole lot more, but I\'m supposed to be studying for a test so I\'m going to keep doing that.

Cannibal Holocaust is decent, along with Cannibal Ferox - but when I say "decent" I mean for pure shock value. What other movie\'s feature real live animals being killed on set? That\'s what made the Cannibal series.

From Beyond is decent, then again I\'m a whore for anything with Jeffery Combs. Some people claim that Bruce Campell is king of the B-rated movie\'s, I disagree! It\'s Combs all the way, baby.

I am just a fan of everything HP. Lovecraft, having Combs in it is an added bonus, a very big one yes but still just a bonus.

Classic is, Night of the Living Dead.

Negatory, good buddy! The Exorcist is a great movie. It would be on my list along with Night of the Living Dead.

Night of the living Dead might be a cult movie (I own it on DVD), but it isn\'t exactly scary. At least not as much as, say, The Exorcist would have been at the time.

Sam, I had respect for you until you called \'Night of the Living Dead\' a "cult" movie. \'Evil Dead\' is a"cult movie", \'Night of the Living Dead\' is cinematic history.

Sorry, I didn\'t mean cult then... cinematic history is the right word. ;)

But in my head cult just meant a good and popular movie (within certain cicles).

Certain circles? You mean, regarded as one of the single most famous horror movie\'s, among horror fans, directors, critics and the general audience? If so - yeah then its "cult".

:D

Horrorfans? Certainly.
Directors? Sure.
Critics? Yup.
General audience? Doubtful... ;)

Let me elaborate - I don\'t think Joe Schmoe thinks a black and white movie from the 60\'ies is very exciting, especially considered how \'tame\' it is compared to mainstream horror nowadays. Don\'t get me wrong, that\'s his loss. But unfortunatly that\'s how I think the general (=stupid) audience sees it (that is, if they have even seen it ;)).

I think horror and only a few movies come to mind that had me intrigued while uneasy, disgusted, and scared.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (old and new)

Halloween

Alien

Aliens

Then there are some films that did a better job at creating suspense that fall in to the horror category.

The Shining

The Ring (Yes, I have seen Ringu...was okay)

The Sixth Sense

The one horror flick I enjoyed but vowed never to watch again is Texas Chainsaw Massacre.  I have never been more terrified in my life...no sense in putting myself through that again.

I envy you Ginko. A grown man scared of horror movie\'s - which means you still can get a thrill from them.
I haven\'t been able since I was 10 or so.

If their is sarcasm in that post- ignore all.

Finally you can get it through your biased skull that their are other opinions in the world.
