I\'m just back from the cinema and I must say that I\'m really impressed. I was expecting something similar to Two Towers, but ROTK is greater... is epic, wonderful. Wow, i\'m shocked, indeed. Those battles, thos creatures, thousands of horses... very very nice.

Congrats Peter, you\'re the new best director for the new year :p

  • I hope the EE has the \'House of Healing\' scene. I know it was filmed.
  • The \'Mouth of Sauron\' was rumored to be filmed and then cut for the EE - that would be nice.
  • More of the "army of dead". We see them battle from a distance, but not up close. I can\'t help but feel that there was something cut there.
  • Speaking of which, I would of liked to seen when Aargon and his crew overtooked the Orc ships on their way to Gondor.
  • More Witch King. Gandalf mentions how he\'ll take care of the King and the Witch King mentions how he\'ll "break Gandalf". The trailers showed them fighting - so it\'s obvious that was cut and the whole Witch King was downplayed in the current edition of the film.
  • Would of been nice if they went in more depth on why Frodo and Bilbo sailed to the west and the actual meaning of "some hurts never heal".
  • Actual death scene if the Orc-Captain (who was played by a fellow Goonie!). They hyped him up also, even showed him dodging his death a few times, but we never actually see him die.
  • Re-instated footage of the fall of Saurmon. Come on, Christopher Lee had a lot to do with this project and his character was SORELY missed in this installment. I have no doubts it will be in the EE, but I see no reason for it to be cut. It left a huge hole in the movie, in my opinion.

I agree with everything you just said.  I was like WTH when I didn\'t see the Mouth of Sauron!

No Sharky in the Shire?  What a pity.

Long movie, great movie, but could have added a few things LIC pointed out to make it better.

Most of which was filmed, so I expect to see them in the EE. It\'d be a shame not to see the Mouth of Sauron or the Witch King battle.

Gezz, your cinemas suck. We never hear mobiles goin off or anything like that. We have a kid crying once in awhile, but that\'s like 1 outta every 10 times i go....

Although, we do have one of the best cinemas in the world near my house ;)

I know of two things at the top of my head that the EE will have :

The final confrontation between Gandalf and Saruman (and Saruman\'s death).

The courtship of Faromir for Eowyn.

The theatres around me are almost ALL stadium seatings that recline. But it\'s still run by crappy management and employees that don\'t care about quality work.

Yeah, all of the theaters here are fancy stadium seating as well.  I\'m just saying that a couple of them are high end with leather chairs like Soully was talking.

About 7 years ago we had a huge boom where we added a couple hundred screens in the area.  Pretty ridiculous really.  But it\'s nice having the big movies on 3-4 screens at each theater complex.

I can think of 5 theaters within 20 minutes of me.  The nearest which is right down the street has 16 theaters.  The others have 30, 24, 17, and 15.  One of those has an Imax screen which is the same as what souly was explaning.  The 30 screen one is amazing, inside a new town center/mall.  Over 6000 seats to offer.  When I saw Matrix Revolutions I folded up the armrest of rear seats and layed down while watching, now thats the life.

Well the theater labeled Imax shows recent movies here also, though I know where you are coming from with some.  It\'s still showing Matrix Revolutions last time I checked but probably did switch to LOTR.
