I finally received my ju-on in the mail today, and have watched it twice today. So here is a real quick review.
Here is a quick synopsis. A whole series of people have died or have gone missing from a house full with a strange atmosphere in the suburb of Tokyo. It is said that the owner of the house murdered his wife before he was committed suicide. Their 6-year-old son has never been found. It is the angry and growing spirit of the wife\'s vengeance infects the house, and the horror eventually widening to include all who enter the house... A volunteer home-care worker, Nishina Rika (Okina Megumi) comes to the house and finds a mysterious boy, who then suddenly disappeared. Then, more terrible things happen, and all the persons related to her died one after another. The horror keeps growing...
So far as the movie goes. It never lets you get comfortable. Essentially it is a story of a haunted house that does not reside necessarily within it\'s walls. Once touched by the house it will follow you, and those around you. It is unlike any other asian film I have seen, and I found it quite refreshing. I can not compare this movie to no other I have seen. The kills are not seen on screen atleast not, but the atmosphere is creepy enough to compensate. The more I talk about this movie the worse it sounds. Though I loved it. I would suggest buying this one. It is not like anything else I have seen, and that made it worth my time to watch it.
Lic also watched it today. So perhaps he can tune in when he gets a chance.
