GTA :Sin City confirmed ???

January 05, 2004 - It\'s not uncommon to find listings for unannounced games on retailers\' lists. Because they have to update databases and prepare for the launch of a game, retailers are often privy to release information earlier than even much of the press. Such is the case with the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series, Sin City.

Rumored for months to be either Sin City or San Andreas, it looks like Vegas won out. A search for Sin City on Amazon\'s UK site will pull up a page for Grand Theft Auto IV: Sin City, scheduled for release on November 4, 2004 in Europe. The console of choice listed is not surprisingly the PlayStation 2, but with last year\'s release of the Double Pack, an Xbox port is not out of the question.
We know absolutely nothing about the game outside of the title\'s implication that the game will take place in Las Vegas-like city - perfect, considering the theme and tone of the previous games. We can only assume that Sin City will use a modified GTA 3 graphics engine, and that the game will be a small evolution for the series as opposed to a revolution.

We attempted to contact Rockstar Games to get an official comment, but the company had nothing to say, not even a "no comment."

I know...I hate that crap...I\'ve been playing it since the first PlayStation. My friend is still trying to convince me it\'s the best game ever :rolleyes: They are milking it for all it\'s worth...

Yeah i guess you could say that. I dont fully like the direction that they took it in. Sure it was fun the first time around (GTAIII) but id rather get back to a more realistic style. That and a serious plot or action.

I can deal with how it is now. Its fun, and it keeps me busy, but if they would return to their roots and not this goofy crap then id be more than happy.

They need to bring GTA to Chicago :D :thepimp:

If the layout is the same as streets here I\'m buying that the day it\'s released.

Let\'s face it, Las Vegas is a great place for crime.

From IGN;

"Even the trusty IGN editors and Amazon can fall for a hoax, and "that\'s precisely what this is. The Sin City title came from an April Fool\'s joke on another website. And to totally debunk the rumour, Rockstar confirmed that the Amazon listing was a load of twaddle

Owned.

I think GTA should go to someplace outside of the US. Hong Kong, or Tokyo, maybe London. I think that would be so awesome.

You could have him from America, "just visiting" ;)
Think for yourself. Question authority.

Yeah set in London in 2002 where the middle aged Tommy V comes over to GETAWAY from things for a bit, Heck they could even model the streets on the REAL LIFE London.
