You could have him from America, "just visiting" ;)

Mmmm, GTA in japan or china? Mmmm that wouldnt work quite right IMO. The whole aura of GTA would be messed up in a place like that. Well i guess it all depends on how you do it.

Its something better fitted for other games. Plus, very few domestics:ghey:. You get toy cars and then fewer nice cars. That and nothing but asian people or whoever. The same mold follows for any other place. I can see london but GTA has already been there (not that thats a bad thing). Its all about America. I dont like saying it like that but IMO its partially true.

The only way it could work is if they ditched all connections to the whole mafioso/vercetti thing. Then were all good. BTW Tommy V is  :ghey:

Is not.

But yeah, just thinking about going through Vegas gets me in the mood for a new GTA.

If they play up the casino angle, it could make for an interesting twist on the theme. Plus you could potentially throw in a bunch of gambling mini games.

I hope there\'s a scene where your character gets married at a Vegas chapel.  That\'d be neat too. Walking in, maybe you\'d pass Britney Spears coming out. :)

They could go in a couple different places with the real life Vegas setting.

Maybe someone will get mauled by a tiger?

We\'ll see..

I think taking the GTA series to another place would be cool - say London, Rome or Paris.

Following the Sin City \'bombshell\', it looks like the next GTA will have the title we were expecting

Following a week of speculation regarding both the full title and release date of Grand Theft Auto 4, it now seems almost certain that the game will be called GTA: San Andreas following the revelation that Take 2 - parent company of GTA developers Rockstar - registered this name just before Christmas.

Interestingly, they also registered trademarks with the US Patent and Trademark Office for both GTA 5 and GTA 6 at the same time which, we hope, indicates that the series will be with us for some time yet.

While a release date for the next GTA - whatever it ends up being called - has still to be confirmed by Rockstar, they did reveal in a financial report last year that it would be out by the autumn. We\'re currently expecting a late October/early November release.

Finally, we\'re also waiting for news of what era the game will be set in, following the highly stylised \'80s look of Vice City.

Blah.  What the hell is so great about San Andreas?

I don\'t expect this one to sell near as much, unless there is indeed, idiot\'s around.  I never cared for the series, but you cannot tell me that it progressed much from GTA3 to Vice City and I really doubt it\'ll  progress anymore in this "expansion pack".

They should make one in New Zealand or Haiti. Just to piss off the conservatives.

What should they have done to progress in vice city then?

As I said before, shops to rob, real estate, helicopters and motor bikes in a new city set in a different era. What did you expect?

Only thing they could do is online, but I think we will not see that till PS3.

Maybe it is just me, but I don\'t see the appeal of the GTA series. The targeting system is complete shit, the graphics are not all that amazing and the driving control is also terrible. The only thing that the game series has going for it is tons of violence and that gets old fast, if you ask me (which no one did, by the way).

i think that people forget that the whole tons of violence thing as a gimmick when theres a big story behind it. for instance, state of emergency. it was fun causeing mahem and all, but then after an hour or two its all the same. GTA is built on the same idea, but with quite a plot behind it, making it look like more of a full game than just a gimmick.
as a wise friend of mine once said, its not what you do that builds character, what you do reveals it.

I enjoyed the hell out of GTA3, after I got my fix I hadn\'t played it since.  Maybe I\'ll pick up the combo set just to get back to it sometime.  It didn\'t get old but I might have stopped at a good time.  I haven\'t even played Vice City yet. *shrugs*

The saga continues!!!

January 09, 2004 - Despite what Amazon.com might have registered on its site in recent days -- and has subsequently changed -- Take-Two Interactive, the parent company behind Rockstar Games, has registered a handful of titles through the US Patent and Trademark Office under the GTA name.

After a confusing stir in which Amazon.com posted pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, and then subsequently changed the name to the likes of Grand Theft Auto: Next Version (most likely at the behest of Rockstar Games), we\'ve learned that Take-Two Interactive registered GTA: San Andreas, GTA 5 and GTA 6 in mid-December.

Given that GTA: Vice City is one and the same with GTA 4, since GTA London was not really considered a full sequel (it was a two-pack), GTA: San Andreas is probably GTA 5. Naturally, Rockstar hasn\'t confirmed any of this, nor will it comment on these names, but when ones thinks about San Andreas, and checks those old maps, there is a connection there, no?

Needless to say, Rockstar\'s third PlayStation 2 exclusive GTA title is due in the company\'s fourth fiscal quarter (i.e. third calendar quarter), which means no later than the end of October (right around when the last two appeared in retail stores).
