The Tolkiens apparently have given the green light for Jackson to do "The Hobbit", prequel to Lord of the Rings.

I just hope Peter Jackson doesn\'t screw it up like he did the LOTR trilogy. I don\'t think me or the rest of the world should have to sit through such a diaster.

I think I will just stick with the animated verison. I really don\'t see how Peter Jackson can make the Hobbit into a succesful film. He already ruined so many parts of the LOTR trilogy (The Witch King death scene).. Not to mention, he\'ll have a huge 50 million dollar budget to waste.

Indi > always better than mainstream.

Although i knew that this would happen, Lotr tri made to much cash, of course they\'d make another one. Personaly i welcome it, it will fill in a gap which should have never been there.

Right. This movie still isn\'t even greenlighted really. \'The Hobbit\' has had a ton of legal problems, one of them being the Tolkien family not wanting it to happen, now that problem is gone, there still remains other problems about the distrubtion of the film and what not. It\'s a long , long time before we see anything ,
