15 ? Way low.
I bought, just like 11, if you count online orders that have not got here. And come Tuesday, I\'ll buy probably another eight.

I guess it all depends.  It changes every month.  Some months are really slow for me while others are jam packed with greatness.  I am missing a few gems in my collection, no doubt, but those I am missing I\'m in no rush to get.  One of the letters in my name in my signature links to my DVD collection if anyone happens to be interested.

I rarely buy any movies for myself.  Don\'t have claim to the TV long enough for a movie.  Thank goodness that Ryu lent me his laptop to watch his DS9 collection.

I very rarely buy any at all. Usually if they are on sale I wll buy them cheap but I tend to find the newer ones too expensive.

I buy a few here and there. It\'s cheaper than going to the movies so I usually don\'t go to the theater and just buy them later.

I know Capcom and I end up buying at least three a week, on the average. There are weeks where we buy more and weeks where we buy less.

Take for example, last week...

I picked up..

Dune (Lynch)
Zatiochi (1)
Zatiochi (vol: 8)
Zatiochi meets Yojimbo
RAN
Once Upon a time in China
Rabid
Shivers
Opeth: Lamentations

And coming this week, I\'ll get..

Freddy vs Jason
Spider-Man (MTV series)
Zaiotchi (vols 2-4)
Son of FrankenStien / Daughter of
House of Frankenstien / Frankenstien meets Wolf-Man.

My point? 15 a year seems extremely low. Then again, it also says on the average you watch them twice and there are very few movie\'s in my collection that I\'ve watched twice or more.

That\'s another thing -- a lot of people rent and pick up movies they have seen before that they know they like.  Most people won\'t take the plunge into unknown territory of purchasing a film because it\'s, on average, a $15 dollar investment on something that just may be absolute bile.  That\'s probably why the sales seem very low.

It really depends on what you want.

I can guarantee that people who have the money, a nice entertainment center, and a good movie watching enviroment will buy 15+.

People with the modern television, and nothing special will probably go with about 15, give or take.

I own about 20, recently been buying more classics for 10 bucks. Renting is usually my preference, if its good Ill purchase. If its just a one time deal, I wont.

I get a lot of DVDs around Christmas and any good movies in between that I want to get. Lets see. Technically, there are 5 DVD players in my house (only one gets used). The one on the computer; the one in my living room (used lightly); the one in my brother\'s room (that is surround sound and he\'s taking that when he gets an apartment); my PS2 in the den (which was used a lot but not anymore); then the surround sound DVD player in the den which replaced my PS2\'s DVD player (been going like nonstop since we got it at Christmas). And no we\'re not rich. We get all this stuff cheap at like Costco :) Then we get DVDs real cheap from Columbia House.

I have 5 too, so I\'m cool as TIT.  One in the living room, one on the Xbox, one in my laptop and two in the desktop one for ripping and one for burning.  Damn RW only rips at 2.4 even with hacked firmware.  However my laptop is going on ebay and I\'m eyeing a new desktop like maybe a 2400+ and OC\' it up over 3000, or maybe just be a lazy dick and buy a prefab (that way I can pay over a year w/o interest and not feel such a hit in the wallet)
