If anyone is interested, I scanned this from a book. It shows the evolution of the sword (and rapier) from 600- to 1800.

I find it pretty interesting.

Its called a stångbössa, Im not sure of the English name. Stång = pole or butt,  bössa = gun.

Well, I got it... it\'s very light and quick...It is 6" longer than my other cheap ($130) wallhanger sword, and a full pound lighter!

now I\'m hooked on this guy\'s work, and am saving to get a short sword.... :nerd:

It is very sharp... I have never done any cutting with a sword, but here are pics of someone else\'s sword, right out of the box, and the two cuts he did.
