Multiplayer Goodness
« on: January 25, 2004, 07:51:39 AM »
In the last couple weeks I\'ve played some multiplayer games like Halo, Virtua Fighter, and Def Jam Vendetta.

But maybe the most fun I\'ve had is playing 4-player Tetris Worlds and challenging my buddy\'s girl to Dr. Mario.

It\'s probably a combination of them both being awesome games and me being awesome at them, but in their simple forms, they\'re two games that can\'t get old.

Playing Dr. Mario, I can\'t tell you how many times that girl said "One more game."  That\'s what it\'s about.

The only exception might be Def Jam Vendetta.  Growing up on the N64 wrestling games, my friend and I absolutely rock at that game, and when we fight we reverse everything and never really know who will win. It\'s direct competition and out of everyone we know, we\'re the only ones who can beat us, heh.

Good times.

The one game that fizzled for me was Mario Kart: Double Dash.  I think it was a feeling of been there done that, or maybe my friends just had a tough time relating to a princess in a pink dress, but that one didn\'t make us go crazy like it has some people...

Puzzle games are some of the best console multiplayer around. Dr.Mario, Panel de Pon, Puzzle Fighter, etc etc etc. MKDD is always a staple around here, but we\'re playing less of that. (it\'s been getting playtime daily since November 18th, so obviously we\'ll eventually have to scale back.. heh)

Halo\'s good in co-op. I like Soul Calibur 1/2, Marvel VS Capcom 2, Super Monkey Ball 1/2, Mario Golf, Mario Party 4/5.. Bomberman Generations.. F-Zero GX.. and a few others we don\'t play regularly.

Bomberman Generation has a mad addictive multiplayer.  Old-school Bomberman.  You fear.

I don\'t suppose many people know of a little game called...

DEATH TANK!!!
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
