Slipknot, System of a down, rammstein, mudvayne
A lot of people hate slipknot..dont really know why..i guess cuz theyre posers for wearing masks..??..lol. And they blame them for gimick, well lady f-in da. Anyway, dont want to turn this thead into \'why slipknot sucks\' since iv done that before trying to show that they arent nu-metal er any of that crap since cory raps a whole 2 times, and even in those songs they change to hard choruses (Only One/ No Life)

Some local metal shows

Korn, Powerman 5000, Papa Roach (went for korn and pm5k)

It has nothing to do with the masks they wear or anything like that.  It\'s about how their music is and what they do to the perception of metal to people who only hear mainstream music.

Seems like a really crappy band to open for. I imagine it paid decent and plenty of groupies tho\'

weezer

Weezer opened for you? How long ago was this? That\'s excellent.

By the way, Chiz, you\'re always talking about your band, but I don\'t recall any mp3\'s or even a band name. Share the love, brotha!

one goos show was in 1988, I was 15...and they were punk.

other one was at Buffalo\'s edgefest 3, lineup incl. weezer, sloan, & a bunch of punk & ska... that was 1996...

I didn\'t ever want to post anything of my 16 years of playing in bands, \'cos it would just turn into a flamefest for the kiddies. I\'d send some mp3\'s to selected members, maybe...

yea i know. They do seem to go out of their way to be a "stereotypical metal band" (be afraid of us kind of attitude) to someone who doesnt listen to metal, and they even say the pentagrams are just for show. I personally like their music a lot so to me, the stuff they do for shock doesnt bug me. I do respect that they are thinking of going out on top after this album rather than going away from what they started with; unless their third album sucks...
