Well, basically, if I become mod, I will ALWAYS contact the person who created the thread AFTER I\'ve locked or deleted a thread with the reason why. If someone complains openly, I will answer. I think debates about certain subjects will help prevent future repititions. In my view, if they don\'t learn why - they\'ll do it again.
However, I feel I am more liberal than other mods here, despite my conservative stance. I know a joke when I read it and will leave as such.
Pretty much a mod does is regulate threads in a gaming forum. OT if a special case though. I can handle it. Lately, there hasn\'t been too many locked threads. Why? Coz communication between mods and posters have increased, preventing more complaints about why threads disappeared or got locked.
Old thread bumped up is not a good reason to lock, however. It\'s not uncommon for people to bring up old funny threads for nostalgia\'s sake.
