I hate that Jevon Kearse got such a huge contract from the Eagles. I just don\'t think he is worth that much money. He is injury prone and can be physically beat. The Pats ran RIGHT at him every time we played them.

When the Eagles give a Top 5 contract to a Top 20 player it drives up the market for DEs that actually deserve the money. Not to mention the fact that the Iggles problem was their offense NOT their defense. Why not drop that money on a top WR?

BTW, How about the Raiduhs landing big Teddy Washington from the Pats? They threw WAY too much money at him too. There is no way Belicheck and Pioli were going to give a $5 million signing bonus and that much money to a guy that old and injury prone(he broke his leg in the same place two years in a row). Still more power to him, you have to cash in as much as you can when you know you have to leave the table soon.

At least Ted Washington makes the Raiduhs a younger team.

No team coached by Bill Parcells is ever a loser team.

Bears Defense w/ Washington (2001) - One of the Leagues\' best, made Ulracher look like a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and the team went 13-3.
Bears Defense w/o Washington (since) - Not great. At all. Don\'t even think they\'ve won 13 games combined in the past two years.

Now...will this happen to the Patriots? Doubt it, but hey, it\'s a thought, the man\'s a force in the middle :)

I do agree about the Kearse thing...that came out of left field. He\'s yet to prove that he\'s not an injury riddled talent.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Yeah he is definately a force to be reckoned with and I can\'t say that losing him makes us a better defense; but stats-wise our defense was just as effective when he was out as when he was in. He was hurt for a nice portion of the season and we saw that we could maintain without him.

As long as the pats get a 4 down back, a #1 WR, and keep Law I\'ll be happy with this off season.

*I\'m crossing my fingers hoping that the Pats can move up in the draft and grab Jackson.*

[EDIT]BTW, The Bears defense was no good WITH Washington in 2002.

That\'s why I said 2001 :-D

Who do the Pats got to replace Washington? I know they got Ty Warren, but who else? Goona use one of those 4 picks in the first 2 rounds to get one, I assume? :-P

When Ted was out we ran predominately the 4-3 so that might be what we do again. Still we have so many good linebackers that the 3-4 just seems right. (Especially with Rosie Colvin coming back next year.)

There are some rumors that we might grab the big Nose Tackle from Hawaii in the draft(I can\'t remember his name) or maybe even the big DT from Colorado.

f*ck, the Niners only got a 51st pick out of T.O.  I really thought they could have done better.  The Ravens might be pretty good if they can keep Lewis out of Jail, and Owens from pissing everyone off.

You guys are idiots. Immediatly he had an impact on the team! Their W-L record basically switched and their defense was dominant.

By all accounts, the Niners got lucky to get that high of a pick. They made it very obvious they wanted nothing to do with Owens, and Owens made it clear he didn\'t want to be in San Fran. They weren\'t goona keep him, yet they had him under contract...nobody was goona offer up a 1st round pick if they knew that the Niners had no other options.

Even after that, the Niners basically get a free pick. If Owens fills out the proper paperwork, the Niners get nothing at all. Basically, it\'s a gift, we\'ll see what the Niners do with it.

Hahahaha! Terrell Owens thought Garcia sucked, he\'s gonna have to bring extra boxes of kleenex when he has to depend on Kyle Boller to get him the rock.

Good riddance. Guy destroys all team chemistry. I guess the final piece of the puzzle is solved.

Now we better draft a top CB.
