In a way,  Ninja Gaiden is too much of a hack and slash game.  I want a Ninja game that is serious like a person in Japan studies Ninjitsu and becomes a great warrior.  Once he is at his highest level in the art, He does assassin work going in villages etc. with high security in place.  Something like Splinter Cell but a Ninja assassin.  :D

Ninja Gaiden is really good, though. I\'d suggest you give it at least a rent, Pstwo..

Chances are it\'s a better game than B.C. will be..

It may just be me. But this game is hard as hell. I mean it is pissing me off. I\'m still on level 2.

Keep at it, Styx. It\'ll get a bit easier in a minute. :)

... Then, it\'ll go right back to being hard. ;) It gets progressively more difficult, even with the new abilities and upgrades you attain. I can\'t wait to try it on Hard/Very Hard... When I get the time. :/

It\'s hard, but it\'s balanced. You get your ass whomped, and then you realize "Hey, I\'m not fighting as well as I could be!". After a few tries, you\'re breezing past your enemies, pulling off combo after combo, throwing shurikens and the occasional Ki attack. Of course, this entire process is very fun.

Tecmo did a solid job on the gameplay.

One of my biggest complaints with this game is the camera. It feels as if I am fighting quite a few baddies offscreen.

So far as graphics. For a hack and slash it is very polished.

The gameplay kind of sucks at first until say around level 3. Or was it 2? Either way it is when you start getting your combo\'s etc. Overall a very nice game. Which it should be. It was delayed what over a year?

i know it\'s early and kinda unfair to judge but how do you rank it against the 1st devil may cry? (i know the game is three years old but the 2nd one sucked so i\'am comparing it to the 1st)

I preferred Devil May Cry over Ninja Gaiden. Then again you picked my favorite game in years. It could be me, but it almost feels as if I am fighting three baddies at any given time in Ninja. Not that is a bad thing, it just feels a bit repetitive. I also prefer DMC with the fixed camera angles. If done properly it keeps blind spots down. Especially if the camera is pulled back. As I said earlier I am fighting way too many baddies off-screen. Not to say Ninja will not grow on me more, but at this point I would not consider it half the game of DMC. Unless you throw graphics in of course.

I played it a little bit at my friend\'s house, its pretty cool.  I dont know if its worth going out and buying an XBox for though.
