Yay!  The traffic ticket by the way was really bad.  I was 17 at the time, and it was for a rolling stop at a stop sign...when me, and the 2 other people in the car with me were all sure I HAD come to a full stop.  The cop asked me to step out of the car, and then bribed me, saying if I could give him information on some vandalism they thought had been committed by local teenagers, he could make the ticket go away.  So basically, I was just totally targetted because of my age, and that still pisses me off.

I have never been ticketed or even pulled over for speeding.  I thought it was weird after hearing so much about other people\'s bad luck with speeding tickets.  I thought I had some sixth sense, but now I know it\'s just my COMMON sense.  I speed plenty, but I do it only in safe situations, and in places where the liklihood of being caught it low.  

Be aware of your surroundings.  Are you in an area that has a severe problem with speeders?  If so, the cops will be watching it.  Is there enough room on the street to avoid a collision if something unexpected comes up while you are speeding?  Watch your mirrors and look FAR down the road to spot speed traps.  You don\'t need to actually see the cop, just be familiar with the road and recognize places that they would like to hide.

Also, when on the interstate, I make sure that I am NEVER the fastest car on the road.  If you\'re on a trip of over 100 miles on the interstate, it\'s practically guaranteed that you will pass the highway patrol at some point.  They cannot ticket everyone who breaks the speed limit, so they focus on ticketing the worst offenders.  Make sure there are worse offenders in front of you.    If the speed limit is 70mph, then you can drive 82 as long as there are a few idiots doing 90.  If there are no idiots, then you have to drive 78 or so.  It\'s pretty simple.

I\'ve had 2, one for 75-80 in a 40.  The other was for 45 in a 40...talk about bullshit.  5 mph over and he gives me a $150.00 ticket, of course I took it to court and he didn\'t show so I got out of it.  I got pulled over about a week ago but he let me off with a warning.

damn..75-80mph in a 40 mph zone?! damn i think i might have seen you on cops!:p seriously where was you going? speeding like that is TOTAL disrespect for the law enforcement...i like ..i like..,,..but it seems that was more in like a residential area...not saying it\'s ok to speed on the highway either, but i would never speed excessively in a 40 mph zone like that.

This is exactly what I do. A lot of people follow me goin\' to work and have asked if I have a radar dector, because I speed up, slow down, speed up.. It\'s common sense. Check your mirrors, look for speed traps and know your roads.

the cops here are randomly cracking down on speeders. People do go really fast on the newer highways and even on the others. They had some thing on the news and every day cops are on highways to catch people. I was on one of the highways where everyone goes at least 75 and a cop was in the fast lane going below 65 and everyone was going slow as hell,lol. But going slow just annoys me when theres noone in front of you. To me, follow the rules if danger is involved and theres traffic, but these new highways are practically empty so why not just go fast?

yeah alot of the highways are bulit for speeds of up to 85 mph and higher. i see you are on the west coast,.but it makes no difference, i know when i travel to some of the southern states n.c. or v.a. there are sections of interstate 95 that just seems like it was built for speed..it\'s so wide open down there..add the fact that you have some nice tunes blazin\', hell you\'re doin\' 115 in the fast lane with the gangsta lean goin on in the whip!
