i travel alot for my job so im always going to new places an after 5 pm ive got nothing to do besides sit around in my hotel room
so every time i go somewhere new ill ask if anyone know what there is to do there so...
this sunday i\'ll be in Lancaster PA till weds. anyone got any suggestions?

there is NOTHING to do in Lancaster.  It\'s Amish country, folks took me there one Thanksgiving, we all thought it would be a nice setting that was rich in culture.  It was just extremely boring and run down.

When you go to Lancaster, you\'ll be surprised at how much the Amish teens there interact with modern day life. I was there last year and three Amish teens cut me off on their bicycles in TRAFFIC! I was moving about 10 mph coz of traffic caused by.....a horse drawn Amish carriage.

And get this.....I saw this older Amish guy drinking a Pepsi at a 7Eleven! Can they do that? Maybe he was a Menonite. :p

Amish kids are allowed to do whatever they want, their parents often will even buy them cars.  It\'s called rumspringa and it\'s a time the parents give their children to see what it\'s like to live a non-amish way of life.  Then when they decide to come back to the church they must give it all back up again.

There is this movie called "devil\'s playground" that is a documentry on this very subject.  It was quite good actually.  Was funny seeing these amish kids sitting around drinking beer and going to raves.  Close to 85-90% of the amish teens go back into the Amish church... I wouldn\'t have thought it was so high.

Visit my aunt and tell her happy birthday.  And then apologize that I stayed home for her birthday instead of making the three hour trek into amish land to visit.

It\'s pretty up there, but quiet as hell.  Whoever suggested getting drunk was probably the best for advice so far.
