More like Vertigo under the DC brand.  Vertigo is just what DC brushes off as the more mature reader line of comics.  Marvel has the same thing, but they call it Marvel Knights.  Sandman is written primarily by Neil Gaiman.

For a look at all the released Sandman books, go here.

thanks bro..i\'m gonna have to pick up a couple of those books. And it just dawned on me that i have book from the vertigo series..100 bullets..i have the story arc that was released some years ago involving a puerto rican girl that just came out of jail & had some issues with her brother..great story.

i also picked up the new silent hill book..i was kinda iffy about it but the story line is decent,..i\'m gonna give it a chance and see if it evolves.
knowledge, wisdom & understanding..these are the basic fundamentals of life

if you can\'t amaze them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh*t....

100 Bullets is a great pulp comic.  The creative team behind that series is currently drawing and penciling the most recent Batman story arc starting with issue 620, now on 625. :)

I was reading about the 100 Bullets game that is coming out and it made me look for info on the comic. Seems like comics are a lot better than when I was last reading them (Back when Image first came out and Marvel trading cards were popular).

These are what I have in my collection:

Spiderman (Amazing,spectacular and web)
Wolverine
X-men
Punisher

But my favourite comic is my What if.... Kraven the hunter had killed Spiderman.
He digs his coffin up and starts eating Spiderman\'s corpse.

Edit:Todd Mcfarlane (sp?) was my favourite artist. No one could draw Spiderman like him.

You and I are almost exactly alike except for the kraven part........ and yes Todd was the BEST IMO.

Which is about when I stopped.  At that time, nothing being produced was worth a damn except for the art with Jim Lee on WildCats, the atrocious Rob Liefeld on Youngblood, Wilce Portacio on Wetworks, and Marc Silvestri on Cyberforce with Todd McFarlane on Spawn.  All art, no substance.  Does anyone even read Spawn anymore?  I\'m surprised I even read the (third) volume of WildCats.  Amazing.

I had a bunch for about a year and a half...

I think the only ones I still have are my Sandman comics... #1, and a few others... I just held onto those cause they are worth some money, but the rest I gave away.

I used to buy Archie comics and loved them...

Anyone who calls me gay will be banned...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

You\'re gay.

I no longer collect comics, but I use to. If I had room to store them, I would still, but space for comics is something I don\'t have.

Buying the collections is a great idea.  No need to worry about single issues, plastic bags, boards, anything like that -- just the book itself and they\'re abundant and available everywhere and don\'t necessarily damage all that easy.  Try a single desk drawer and see how that goes and fill it with stuff that\'s great to read.  I\'d be happy to offer suggestions if you\'re at all interested.

Are MAD Magazine considered comics?
