Indeed they do and the covers are still really funny as well as the fold-ups in the back.

i\'m still waiting for the jla/avengers 4th issue..story line is alright..kinda been there done that type story..picked up 1 through 3 so might as well finish out the series. (spoiler) in the series they had superman beat thor..which i\'m kinda skeptical about..i mean just how strong IS superman? it seems nobody can defeat him end spoiler.

on another note they had a superman vs spiderman super huge comic back in the 70\'s. I can understand spidey not beatin\' sups, but i think he actually fought the hulk & while the hulk was hittin him (superman) he just stood there taking all of the blows! sorry superman is not that strong..i think they cater to him too much in the super-hero world.

Are you kidding?  The only man, and this is man mind you, not meta-human, not mutant, not alien -- regular man -- that could ever beat him was and is Batman.  Batman, on every occasion has beaten Superman to within an inch of his life, but for mitigating circumstances, decided against finishing the job.

Clips, if you\'re going to read any new comics other then that atrocious JLA\\Avengers crap, I recommend picking up Superman Red Son, The Ultimates volume 1 (which collects issues 1 - 6), Green Arrow: Quiver, and Y-The Last Man book 1.  Every one of those comics will surprise you and make you a very happy comicbook fan.  Trust me.

 yeah i must admit that jla/avengers is on the crappy side. :p Next time i go down to the shop i\'ll pick up the books you recommended. Oh and also about how batman defeated superman,..i\'ve never seen it but i\'d figure the batman would outsmart him some kind of way..with a little help of the ol kryptonite..no?

Batman has lots of ways to effectively put him out of commission.  Kryptonite does work, of course, but that\'s not the limit of what Batman could use to effectively hurt him.  Simply placing Superman into the light of  Red star for example, or at least the simulated light, would make Superman a normal person because his powers would be completely nullified.  And, not to put too fine a point on it, Superman doesn\'t exactly cope well when Batman is dishing it and he lacks his precious invulnerability.

You\'d think so, but there are lots and lots of women out there who would be extremely happy for this change and would want this last little piss-ant done away with as well so women could inherit the Earth.

Wolverine and Spiderman would own Batman. IMO

I read a Wolverine vs Conan, and he cut off Conan\'s hand.
There was a Wolverine vs Hulk battle also, hulk beat the shitters out of wolverine and then they became friends???
I see a red door and I want it painted black...

yea i\'m keepin\' this thread alive! :D anyway just picked up the superman/batman comic #8 with michael turner doin\' the artwork. decent storyline..but it seems that superman is batman\'s biatch when it comes to intelligence i dunno it seems batman talks down to him when they speak.

i think batman does that to everybody tho..there was a batman/spidey crossover a few years back & he spoke the same way to spidey! :p. i also picked up the latest new x-man by marc sylvestri..decent title,..excellent artwork! i can\'t believe they killed jean grey..AGAIN..meh they should leave her dead this time..no-more coming back from the dead via the phoenix force..just let her die & let cyclops move on.

ps:note to self: pick up superman red sun..

picked up the superman/batman joint with the continuation of the supergirl storyline..it\'s alright kinda on the weak side..michael turner\'s artwork is the only thing keepin\' me on it..

i also picked up punisher "the end" great book.the artwork isn\'t the greatest but it\'s refreshing to see what the characters would be like at the end of their life...very interesting indeed.

i also picked up wolverine "the end" this was a good read as well as wolverine is at his last days still wondereing about what happened to him & the weapon x program..quite a big shocker at the end as well...now i\'m tryin\' to get hulk "the end" but nobody has it..cat at the shop told me to check ebay for it..says it\'s runnin\' bout thirty bucks, so it seems that\'s the route i\'m gonna have to take..

If you like books with a twist, buy Red Son.  I promise you\'ll love it.  Also, if you\'ve taken a liking to New X-Men, buy the hardcovers volume 1 and 2, and then buy the trade paper backs Assault on Weapon Plus and Planet X (volumes 5 and 6 respectively) and that will finish out what\'s worth reading.  Probably one of the best stories on the X-men... ever.  Grant Morrison really knows what he is doing with these guys.

Daredevil is also a tremendously good read.  If I were you, right away, I\'d hit up Amazon for the New X-men stuff I mentioned (Since they have a great dicount via free-shipping and no tax) and pick up the Daredevil hardcover volume 2 which collects issues 26 - 37.  It\'s quite possibly one of the best superhero reads ever.  It\'s the hardcover that got me back into comics a year ago.  It will floor you.

A couple other recommendations for you is the first Ultimates trade called Super Human (there\'s only one and was printed in abundance and a second is coming in June called Homeland Security which will get you fully caught up), Y the Last Man trade called Unmanned just to get you started on that book and see if you like it.  There\'s also another book called Fables and the first trade is called Legends In Exile.  Also a great read.

Another book I highly recommend, almost as much as that Daredevil hardcover, is the entire run of Alias collected in like 4 trades at this point in time and the series is complete.  Go ahead and pick those all up right away as its some of the best adult material to ever be published about superheroes.

If you want more in-depth descriptions of any of this stuff, go ahead and use my holy grail of all trade paperback information sites at the following link.

I used to collect plenty of Cracked magazines. Then I got a bunch of old N64 gaming mags... Now I have a horde of Stuff and Maxim mags, and a few PS2 mags here and there...

Not many comics overall, a few for when I was younger. All of them are X-men of course.
