Pantera is from Pantego, really close to where I live. And yes, they kick ass. Pantera is just people who are looking for hard melodies.

Vivi, did you mean "for people?" Eh, pantera is for people who like what they make. I can think of bands just as hard (if not harder) that i would much rather listen to.

Dont feel like making a whole new thread about this since very few like slipknot but:

Slipknots coming out with their album \'vol. 3: subliminal verses\' may 35th. They have an mp3 up called "pulse of the maggots" at slipknot1.com and its awesome which makes me even more pumped about the album. The sound is different, especially corey\'s vocals but they already said they wanted a new sound. Drums kick @ss as usual and they actually put a guitar solo in,lol.

I honestly thought it sucked, and it sucked bad.

If this album can top the second one, itll be good. I still think the first was much better overall.

I really just can\'t stand the way slipknot portrays metal to the mainstream. Every time I talk to someone who doesn\'t know much about metal, they think that\'s what metal is. That\'s really a shame.
