MGS3\'s gameplay looks to shift away from it\'s arcady, and for today\'s standards \'simple\', gameplay mechanics, towards a
more deep and slowpaced tactical approach.

Personally I\'m all for that. I\'ve always found MGS2\'s gameplay
to be rather MGS1.5 instead of full sequal gameplay evolution.
Also, I\'m glad that MGS3 won\'t include the RADAR nor the M9
tranquillizer gun.

Yeap. The absence of these two make the game more challenging.
But at the same time I liked the fact that MGS2 encouraged you not to kill.

^ Huh ??? At the IGN MGS boards I always had the impression alot of ppl got teh onslaught urge in MGS2.

Seriously though...alot of stealth games are on the rise since MGS2. Gameplay mechanics in all genre\'s have been increasingly gotten more deep thanx to improved contextual animations, better enemy AI and better level design (thanx to better level loading or streaming).

Alot of reaction to Twin Snakes of ppl is that they feel it\'s MGS2 style gameplay feels dated..... and ...honestly it is...or you should call it \'arcade\' ...

Anyway, Mr. Kojima is hard @ work re-inventing MGS core gameplay. And he realizes that\'s needed as he won\'t have the benefit of PS2 graphics being a novelty anymore.

Well thats not Kojima\'s fault

It was wiser to tranquilize the enemies in the game.He tried to disencoursge you to kill.
If some people liked playing with the enemy\'s AI like scaring them, shooting them on the leg and then kill them, wtach them suffer etc is a different matter. The only way Kojima would prevent everyone from killing in the game was to enable only tranquilizing weapons.Which would have been :ghey:
You cant stop people from doing something in the game if they have the tendencies to do it.
It was fun to experiment with the enemy the first times of play but then there was no point to do this anymore.

I wnjoyied scaring them, take their dog tags and tranquilize them.Sometimes shoot them with the m9 on the leg give them a few punches :D and offer them nice dreams

:) Any idea on how popular Grey Fox is at those IGN MG boards ? It\'s waaay past HUGE. Kind of like Boba Fett\'s popularity in SW.
These guys always start asking (when Twin Snakes released) if the Grey Fox WITH katana was playable throughout the WHOLE game as unlockable. Besides trigger happy, they are Katana-chop-happy. Dismembering limbs in Woo-tastic fashion and such...

Imo, Grey Fox and the whole Katana blade thing is way over rated .... a friggin\'  cliche within a cliche (1.cyborg-2.ninja)......

but hey.. that\'s just quirky me eh.... ;)

I had no idea.
haha.I personally loved grey fox as a tragic character.LOL not because he was a cyborg ninja killing machine.I would have loved to control him for his cool moves.

seems most people are thirsty for some blood!:D
Grey fox=the chopping machine.Great for making mincemeat.

Don\'t forget -- the Ninja was an afterthought to MGS and was just a private project being worked on by the artist and was seen by Kojima who quickly thought of some way to include him in the game.

For those of us who played MGS2 why didn\'t the Ninja(I don\'t wanna reveal the true identity and spoil it for those who STILL haven\'t played the game) slice up that queer Raiden?:ghey:

Looking Good...

Like the fact that camouflage is borken down into Top(s) and Bottom(s).

*Edit*
Looks like its Camouflage and face paint.

Also you get a camouflage rating like the light rating in splinter cell.

I didnt have any complaints for Raiden. He served well his part into the story.Kojima had his reasons. And as usual people instead of trying to see from the directors point of view they always try to see what they wanted to see from the beginning.
And no I am NOT gay
