Ryu, Stargate and Sliders both suck big Hellboy penis. Talk about lame science-fiction series... And I don\'t even know what the third picture is, although I do see a portal, I can assume it is something stupid.

Kit, Borys.  "Helmer Story on \'Fantastic\' voyage at Fox." The Hollywood Reporter 4/7/2004.

Tim Story is on board to direct the big-budget live-action adaptation of the Marvel Comic "Fantastic Four" for 20th Century Fox. Producing are Chris Columbus\' 1492 Pictures, Constantin Films and Marvel Studios\' Avi Arad. Executive producers are Stan Lee and Ralph Winter.

"Fantastic Four" follows the adventure-seeking quartet of scientist Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic); his love interest, Susan Storm (the Invisible Girl); her brother, Johnny (the Human Torch); and Reed\'s best friend, Benjamin Grimm (the Thing). The four develop superpowers when their spaceship is exposed to cosmic radiation. Their archnemesis is Dr. Doom, who turns out to be Reed\'s old college friend. Billed as "the world\'s greatest comic magazine," the comic first appeared in 1962 and ushered in the Marvel Age of comics, a time when comics began dealing with familial issues. The movie will be set in the present day.

The project, which has been through a long development process, will work off of "Twin Peaks" co-creator Mark Frost\'s script. An August start date is planned.

Story helmed MGM\'s modestly budgeted success "Barbershop" in 2002 and is directing Fox\'s upcoming "Taxi," which had a budget in the $40 million-$50 million range.

Arad said it was Story\'s handling of the diverse family-like atmosphere of "Barbershop" and his ability to balance action and story in "Taxi" that landed the director the gig.

"What defines our movies are the characters; the roller-coaster stuff is dressing," Arad said. "The helmer has to know who they are, with and without the powers. And Tim did cartwheels to show us he knew everything."

"I think the hardest thing about comic book movies is tone and this one took a long time to get right," Fox president Hutch Parker said of the long development process. "With his vision, Tim nailed it. And the cherry on top with Tim is that we have the benefit of looking at his most recent work and knowing what a spectacular job he did."

Fox senior vp Alex Young is overseeing for the studio.

Story is repped by WMA, the Firm and attorney Michael Plotkin.

I forget how long Sliders went for, my guess would be 4 seasons at least, but that\'s as long as family Guy or Futurama I believe.  They must have done something right -- but before you jump up and say that Family Guy and Futurama were on Fox and were dealt a bad hand, Sliders was on Fox as well.

Stargate is still going on strong with new seasons and new episodes airing all the time.  You may think it\'s crap, but it has longevity and there\'s obviously a big enough fanbase to disagree with you to keep it going strong.

Finally...

I should just f*cking kill you.  It just demonstrates there that you know nothing, but before I do, I might as well tell you that the last shot is from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark -- one of the best movies ever made.

It was just called "Raiders of the Lost Arc" Ryu, not "Indiana Jones and..."  :)

I guess you\'re not as big an expert as you claim.

Just jokin\' with ya man!  :p

Seriously, I wonder how old some of you were when Raiders was released in 1981.  I heard about it first at a science fiction convention in 1980, and got a promotional sheet on it.  Then I saw it in it\'s first run.  Seems like only yesterday...  :)

Indiana Jones = teh suck.

Like I said, the only good movie with a portal was probably Event Horizon. :)

Actually, all the promotional materials, the ones that come from Lucasfilm that is, all say it with the "and" portion.  I wasn\'t mistaken, just misled.  :p

I hated this movie, and if you have a soul, you will too.

And now that we know you have no taste whatsoever with that Indiana Jones comment, we also know that you too have no soul.

I make questionable choices when it comes to liking certain films (I still think Daredevil is great even though many MANY people hated it), but Indiana Jones is a no-brainer.  You can\'t go wrong with liking that one.

Yeah jones has some good movies but man daredevil is pure garabage. I cannot believe they are thinking of making a part2.

I would rather see ambiguously  gay duo on screen rather than another daredevil.

Swifdi lost all credibility with me when he said Indiana movies suck, and to pick Event horizon over them.

I can understand how Indiana Jones may appeal to the lot of you; it\'s just not my cup of tea.

But seriously, Hellboy was horrible, and it makes me gag anytime somebody even calls it a "good movie". Not even close.

Knowing what I know of you, I would never expect you to like Hellboy.

I bet you loved "You Got Served" though.

Anybody else see South Park tonight?
