meh lookin\' back at some of the posts i can see this issue can make some become defensive which is understandable but i do not want to come across as being racist or anything like that...when i post something that deals with race i know it will cause a stirr for some, but still feel we can debate about it maturely...nevertheless if i have offended anybody with those remarks i apologize..vid,..politie, vivi..:beer:  also to luckee for jackin his thread..but to make up for it..

My point was that it didn\'t matter what color the cooks were on the titanic.  They were freaking cooks.  They weren\'t going to get on life rafts before the well to do passengers.  

And if you are honestly saying: "and i rarely if not ever have heard of an afri. amer. doing something to a white person because of his race." then dang, you really need to get your head out of the sand.

African American\'s murder, rape, steal, etc. to the white man too.  It\'s just not labeled racist because it\'s not PC.  Only the blacks and gays can scream minority prejudice.

We should change the thread title to: "Race its whats for dinner" honestly Clips I realize you have no Idea who I am or what I belive but you gotta know women have been having the Almost exact same issues as a brotha for years and never blame the "white" male for it.

I have to agree about the race thing not going away. It is a part of American culture. We can put on happy faces and play nice but when it comes down to it America is divided on a lot of racial issues. Everyone wants to play the victim. (Black people are screaming racism. White people are screaming reverse racism. Chinese people are screaming sideways racism. - Chris Rock )

My thing with race is that it is just another one of America\'s dividers that keep us from working out REAL issues. We spend so much time arguing amongst ourselves(Democrats v. Republicans, Black v. White, Gay v. Religious, Rich v. Poor, etc.) when together we could actually go about making things better for everyone.

I could go on and on about crap like this but whatever. Let me stop before I inadvertently make an ass of myself.

Think about that, though. Black people call themselves african-american, Mexicans are mexican-american, etc. but other people are just Irish, Greek, Italian, etc.

Is it worse to aknowledge past AND present heritage or to ignore the fact that you have never been to the country you are claiming?
