perhaps it was the PS 2.0 and PS 3.0 labels i posted that threw you off

me > you
hows that for a comparison?

wait, maybe you didnt notice a key word, ATi R420 CANNOT  do Ps 3.0

mm here you are claming that your mr hardware genius, and you didn\'t even know that the ATI does a spectacular job at 2.0 much better than the NVidia, not to mention we do not know how the R420 will handle 2.0. Now if you had been paying attention to far cry you would have Noticed the NVIDIA PR stunt where they took PS 1.4 of the ati and then showed ps 3.0 on the NV40. Interesting that they chose to avoid showing the 2.0 from the ATI card becuase as it was latter determined by ati users that took shots of far cry and then compared them to the 3,0 from Nvidia there was very little difference.

Oh by the way WHERE does it say ATI does not do PS 3.0 hmmmmm Mr Einstien. That was me who said that I didn\'t think it would do it. There is no official releases of the ATI r420 , only speculation

sure, just completely ignore that fact that R420 will not support PS 3.0 and that PS3 > PS2

and before you stuff your foot in your mouth again:

Quote
Fudo reported that the forthcoming ATI R420 won\'t feature Pixel Shader 3.0 and this is what the document seems to confirms, and further, that it is a weak point – from a marketing perspective – for ATI, as Nvidia\'s forthcoming NV40 definitely will have Pixel Shader 3.0 support.

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=15106

quote and link, enjoy and please stop wasting my time

the original argument was that PS 3.0 wasn\'t any better than PS 2.0

Quote
3DCenter says, "We can confirm free of doubts that the ATi R420-Chip will not offer Shader 3,0 support."

can\'t dispute that

ALSO mm your credabilty just went right out the window, are you SIR quoting from the Inquier as a reliable source, do not make me fill pages here showing how many times they have made FUD up, LOL!!!!!

bahbahbahbahbah the Inquier,

PS. yes the inquirer has gotten some things right, but it\'s more like a 80/20 ratio from wrong to right. They are not real journalism, they are mostly go by rumors, secret so called sources etc...

Go crawl back in your hole..mm

I personally do not believe the R420 will have support for it, then again I could be wrong since we do not have the offical specs released yet, but beleive me i\'m willing to bank on it;

So I guess your not getting shit

TOMS HARDWARE is a news/review site, just like any other, yet most people know that they are biased assholes over there, does that mean TH is a relibile source for new or reivews, NO!!!

You mentioned 3dcenter, they are an amazing site that defiantly has credibility, but the Inquirer has shown over time to have very little credibility, all they do is post article after article changing there story by making speculative, logical guesses, until they actually through statistics get one right, then people say "look the inquirer was right all along" but yet they forget all the previous BS articles they posted. They are not real journalism, cause real journalism does not change they’re story every 2 days. It’s hard to tell what to believe form that site, almost like a lottery ticket.

tom accepts donations for reviews, it\'s common knowledge

again, the inq calls them as they see them

so, about PS 3.0 not looking any better than PS 2.0?

ok, like I said we have to wait before we can conclusivly determined if PS 3.0 is all it\'s cracked up to be. Wait for r420, wait for comparison screenshots.

It\'s a little to eariler right now, to be making final judgment, That is my whole point.

UPDATE --  pics posted by mm

I took some time to look into this comparison, which from the start I found very suspicious. You can CLEARLy see the first pic in the comparison is not utilizing DX9 shaders, those pics are invalid. The first one is in "quasi-DirectX 7" mode and the other(buttom) is fully DX9.  For anyone that has seen PS2.0 on ATI and then to look at pic one you would have to be ignorant/Blind to beleive that is true PS2.0  being rendered there.

Totally unfair biased comparison, just like the PR NV stunt with the 3.0 VS 1.4
This is why when you first posted those pics mm, I asked under what conditions, what card etc.. Was this comparison done on, which you quitley avoided to answer.

NICE try MM--you slick, slimy little guy (you are Propaganda King)

OWNED!!!

I\'m done here!!!!

PS. sorry about edit\'s i\'m on wi-fi here at the gym
