Hmmm...

WTBA 13....which one was that? The one with Dyanna Lauren as a lawyer and Janine and co. as the benefactors of a will?
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

yup, it was so horribly made, it was just funny.
Here they are, standing on the side of a river, ants everywhere. But instead of just stepping into the river where the ants can\'t go they use the flamethrower, which eventually runs out, causing them to panic even more!

or the scene in which they blow up the huge dike with just three sticks of tnt!

Donnie Darko - good flick and its being rereleased in theaters because of its DVD popularity.

Isn\'t that contradicting the thread title?

Not really considering it only grossed $500,000 in theaters.  So no it wasn\'t popular.

*slaps forehead*

Just because it didn\'t do well in theaters doesn\'t mean people didn\'t like it, especially considering the DVD sold well.

Highly popular does not go along with liked.
My two cents, due to the fact it may not be huge hit money wise, due to a limited release.

Considering I saw it in the theatre and not many others did, I would assume no one else liked it and/or had an interest in it.  It has more of a cult following in DVD anyway - not like its a mainstream film.  So yes my statement would be correct - the public in general did not like/appreciate this film.

Why are you arguing Donnie Darko when you have someone posting Highlander a few posts up ;)
