Yeah, having a wife who plays is a good way to make mad cash!!!!

Except when she pays some guy 3000 gil to power level your character from level 14 to 15.....  then ends up dieing twice and ending up 300xp lower than she started.

She wanted to surprise me when I got home from work.

When she told me what happened, I laughed so hard.  The guy was a BLM that had WHM as his sub.  He only had cure 1 and no protect.

She needs a little more practice in the fighting department.  She did do some farming for fire crystals in Ghelsba outpost, so she knows the basics.

I got the PC version yesterday - Ran it at 1600x1200 with a Registery hack to make the backgrounds 2400x2400 (<- this is not dependent on your monitor resolution)  And I have to say its absolutely freaking amazing.  But going from the PS2 interface to the PC interface was hard to get use to.  Gonna see if I can find a USB device to allow me to hook my PS2 controller to my PC.

yea people using controllers on pc helps a lot

and to get rank 5 you will need a good alliance

when we did it i was very low lvl then others in our LS - went bout like this

1 whm lvl 41
3 blms from 39-41
3 rdms - one being me i was lvl 32 - others were 44 and 43
1 pld lvl 56
1 bst lvl 50
1 brd 40
2 drks lvl 41
1 war lvl 42

i think thats about it give or take a few people that we picked up on the way to areas

in all it took about 5-6 hours if you know what you are doing
and if you know the areas - some areas such as davoi and castle ozjorka have mobs that are in upper 40s to early 50s - so being careful is biggest thing

also the nms that drop items in beadueax are like 45 and 55 - so you cant really solo this mission for a long time

but the alliance we had killed everything so easily - mainly find a person that has done this and it will be a breeze

also even with all those people 3 people still died and they were high lvls - so like i said be careful

well... Yesterday, I logged on to play around for awhile.. no real agenda to speak of, so I started by taking a trip to La Thiens to gather some seeds from sapplings.  I ended up working my way to the dunes where I got an invite to a pty.  THE BEST PARTY EVARRRR THAT IS! :) I dinged twice within 2 hours.  It was probably the best party I have ever been in, hands down.  With a full 6 people party, everyone communicated with eachother very well, and we were geting a steady 150 - 200 XP per kill!

Cool.

I have had pretty "eh?!" parties lately...
I just took a break from dunes (soloing my Bst there) and headed back to Kazam/Jeuno with my 30 (now 31) Rdm.

One more level and I will go to Garlaige Citidel. They say its good for 32-35.

And if I get bored, I can ((Try)) to get a party as (22)Bst in Qufim... I love Qufim.

Ill probably hang out in the dunes for awhile longer, get my RDM up to 30 or so.  At this point, I don\'t see much sence in lvling my BLM any higher than 13.  I dont think there are any more scrolls that I can get from BLM for a little while.  Besides, once I reach 30 with my BLM, I know Im going to want to start my ADV job (which is going to be SMN).

Nice pix!

Well.. I sat on my ass all weekend and went from 33 on Friday to 38 Sunday Night.. Wow.. I didn\'t think Id get 38 so quick.

I got parties in Citidel (32-36) and the Crawlers nest (36-38) almost instantly and rarely had solo--lfg time.

Got gang banged once in Citidel and once in CN.

Citidel was my fault... so damn funny really..
I was like "Bye guys, been great! I\'m gonna go and log."

Then I disband from party. I run towards exit, there are like 5 citidel/siege bats. I\'m a dumb dumb and go-- eh? I\'ll run right by em and zone....

WRONG!!
LOL!!

BAMBAMBAMBAMBAM... Like firecrackers. Dead.

Funny thing is.. The rest of party came running after me and all but one (Mmc you lucky bastard) got owned. LOL

(Mmc sent a /tell saying.. "You all suck cause you died")
LOL. He\'s a nutbar.

Similar in Crawlers Nest.

Cept it was as I entered. I go running in... and you know how it takes a few seconds for players/mobs to show up sometimes?

Well... After I was in a way.. Like 20 (no joke) Worker and Soldier crawlers were hangin aaaaaalll around me..

**GULP**.

Oh well...

RUN TO ZONE.

BAMBAMBAMBAMBAM..
DEAD.

Some dorkwad pulled em all by zone. Either farming, or just an idiot.

Oh well.

I got 38RDM now and I can raise:p

yea i really need to go to crawlers nest - but ive been so busy doing other stuff as of late - like cookin - and playing my smn - i got it to lvl 17 now - 3 lvls till i can unlock more avatars - i cant wait man smn is fun

its still gonna be my sub job as rdm is a blast and ive spent too much gil investing into rdm - so close to convert too - but yea ill heading to crawlers once i get some more smns - maybe sooner since im running out of gil and need to farm a bit

Nice.  I had good and bad parties yesterday - I\'m really good at recognizing now when a groups dynamics just aint gonna work - like me leveling my BLM and taking 6 hits in a row....  Yeah, I had just one fight and I was already done with that party.  I had to zone one of the gobs right after the first fight so I quit the party as I was running away.  I said bye and wished them luck, but the group leader had to jump on me for leaving.  Sorry, but I just don\'t have the patience for that crap.

But I was in this great group at first, getting close to 200exp each fight and we were moving quick.  But one person had to leave and then they all quickly disbanded...  Man, you don\'t get parties that work that well, that fast together, try and at least stick together..  Oh well.
