Anyone have official pics from Sony about the PSP yet?

I\'m not extremely excited about the PSP but it looks pretty sweet. Until you play your current PS games on a handheld without any graphical loss I won\'t be getting one. I don\'t travel very much anyway so what\'s the need.

The lack of analog control is dissapointing as I think it will stunt a lot of games seen in videos advertising the unit -- particularly Ape Escape, but that doesn\'t mean the games won\'t be playable as a whole.  I have no doubt the unit will be pushed to late Q1 2005 and will retail for 199, 50 ahead of the NDS at 149.  The only real cause for concern at this point, other then its size which is not final until TGS, same as the NDS, is the battery life as it\'s currently 10 hours for music, 2.5 for movies, and possibly 6 for gaming.  Fairly weak, but I own an iPod so I\'m used to this sort of thing.

I sure wouldn\'t mind being able to upload an episode of the Shield or an episode of anime to the memory stick and watching it on my way to school.

IMO its beutiful, I will get this baby for sure.

No. Look closely at the big picture...
It has the pattern on it associated with a speaker (criss cross), but you see there are no "Holes". That criss cross pattern is just a texture for grip.

The PSP has stereo speakers, so one single speaker (under your thumb) makes no sense. The speakers are prolly on back, or on the top, out of the hand obstruction zone.

I\'ll admit, the widescreen is damn sexy.

I\'m a little skeptical about that GT pic, though.  I have a feeling they just stuck an image into the rectangle.  But if it can produce graphics like that, color me impressed.

Also it looks a lot slimmer then i tought i would be.

EDIT: They also said cuz of the screen size they can make better looking games with less effort. If you blew it up to a TV size it would prob look like ass or something...
