Looks worse to me. But I know they couldnt have regressed this far so im sure it\'ll be fine.

some dude at work gave me the new egm ?& it has the review of silent hill 4 in it..the reviewers gave a 7.5. i \'m thinking mainly because it\'s more of the same...which i don\'t have a problem with but they did make a point in which they stated to some degree that how many times are we going to have to visit the same hospital with basically the same although altered nurses?

i agree maybe the series needs to be innovated a bit but i seen that whenever danger is near he holds his head like he\'s some type of telekinetic...reminds me of galarians...i also noticed they added a life bar..i don\'t think they should have done that..i liked it better not knowing how much health i had left...

oh and one more small detail akira yamaoka the producer says that the next silent hill will probably be from an entirely 1st person perspective :eek:    they better not do that! that would kill the series completely...he may be the producer but i don\'t think he has the last say on it...anyway take that part with a grain of salt as they say it\'s years away..most likely for ps3..

Interesting, yet not very.

I lost interest in the game after a while. I hate when that happens. Gaming just isnt the same. Ive been playing more and more old games. I think after ps3, there needs to be a revolution where we go back to the golden days.

I saw a video with gameplay footage from a Demo disk that came with the UK Official PS2 mag.It didnt impress graphically.It looked shit to me.And the atmosphere also seemed boring.It reminded me the shift from Resi1 to Resi3.Before very atmospheric with depth, later too action and shallow

I was watching some gameplay videos and I wish Konami had included the flashligh again.

well i was just a tad skeptical when they stated that they were already working on part 4 when 3 was just released..i won\'t judge it just yet..as i feel that they are trying some things that are different....being locked up the room and uhm..gasp :eek: well i don\'t know i\'ve seen videos and it just doesn\'t seem aas crisp as 2 & 3 and i liked both of those alot...we\'ll see tho..most of the time anyway it\'s the storyline that has me hooked. as long as the gameplay & hopefully they\'ll mix up the environments a little more are little more varied i\'ll be content..

i\'ll admit in part 3 i was dreding a bit having to go back into the hospital..i mean i know it\'s a connection there between heather & the hospital, but it became a little tedious..

The general idea of the story sounds superb.Problem is if it doesnt maintain the same depth and atmosphere as the previous three then it might be a let down.
No flashlight probably means no more dark rooms.Lack of vision created a claustrophobic feeling.A great thing for the game.The shadows always added to the atmpshere too.In this one though you can see far.The enviroments in the footage werent as dark or sinister looking.
Also graphically from what I ve seen from the gameplay footage is no where as good as SH3.It looked something like SH2.The main character also seems kind of strange.The way he moves looks stupid IMO and his body analogies make him look like a kid.Probably its just me.
Something else that bothers me is the sound.I dont know if they switced off the backround sounds that are supposed to represent the music intentionally in the footage I ve seen but it lacked there too.
Radio is also missing.

The good old radio. Idk. I really wish such franchises didnt go down the drain but with people making 4\'s 5\'s and 6\'s of certain game, I think its time for a "revolution." Or at least a new wave in gaming (ie fresh new franchises).

Maybe the game is good but i havent heard anything that makes me want to go out and play it.

yea i agree especially in the graphics area part 3 was an absolute charm to look at..also the gameplay physics of the main character? right again..it does seem like he moves in a childlike manner...will just have to wait & see...
