Yes there was some hype but not nearly as much as Friends. I mean every local news station had something about it. I mean there where huge parties (same with frasier but not as much).

Frasier never did anything for me.

But it was a good last episode.  Niles finally got married and Frasier went off to Hollywood to start a spin-off sitcom that will most likely bomb after achieving high ratings for the first episode.

Smallville hasn\'t been canned, atleast not in the US. That show owns. And no, I watched a dateline special on frasier, they had 2 dogs. The second dog was the firsts dog\'s son.

Niles and Fraiser was great together, but one without the other would not work, in my opinion.

And Eik - Niles didn\'t get married, Martin did. Nile\'s and Daf had their baby, on the day of the wedding...and Eddie\'s birthday.
