The Day After Tomorrow

The preview seemed like the movie would be something to watch- just on the creativity factor. Looks awesome, Los Angeles frozen over, and total anarchy.

Spider-Man 2

Its Spidey- why not?

Van Helsing really wasnt that bad at all.

P.S. There\'s no point in getting in a big argument about how movies nowadays suck. Yeah, Hollywood blows, everything they put out blows and blah blah blah.

All I ask is to be entertained for a few hours. If that happenes I consider the movie OK.

Troy is worth seeing IMO, saw it tonight and it was a great epic. The fight scenes were massive at sometimes, others not. Worth my 8 dollars.

EXACTLY.  Why be so goddamn cynical all the f*cking time?  What good does it do?  So you hate everything, good for you, but that doesn\'t mean I have to as well.  Let it be known, I love movies, I love gaming, I love comics, but I\'m not going to limit myself to the medium all because hollywood is crap, or all games are sequels\\ports or because all writers\\artists are sellouts.  Forget that.  Life is too f*cking short to be worried about such trite little shit.  I\'d rather go and try to enjoy what I\'m seeing or experiencing then to go ahead and slam it a million times over.

Troy wasn\'t bad.. if you liked Gladiator, you will probably like it.  And it\'s fairly (in most places) faithfull to the illiad, which was nice to see.

It\'s 170 min though from start of previews/commercials to start of credits.. so don\'t buy 2 big sodas :p

Guys I said earlier, Hollywood does put out some good stuff, For Instance, Today I rewatched FIGHT-CLUB over at my friends house , good film--a HOLLYWOOD ONE AT THAT. Also we plan to WATCH "CHINATOWN"  later on (haven\'t seen that movie in 5 years)
This is what I consider good cinema, and yes I’m damn picky when it comes to films, I want quality.

Also keep in mind the admission they charge for movies today. 6 years ago it was $5.95 can. Today all the theaters are these massive 24 theaters multiplex IMAX blah, blah shit and they charge $12.95. for this kind of money the movies showing had better give me a blow JOB.

Yet here is the funny part. Over at the independent theaters, they charge half the price while showcasing  far better cinema than your average bubble gum Hollywood commercial crap.

I guess what I don\'t understand here, and please guys help me out here, is that I see a good portion of you plan to see pretty much all this summers blockbusters. I mean does that shit really entertain you guys, most of those films have no depth to them.

Swordsman II

Havn\'t seen that one yet, personally I think Jet Lee\'s best film ever was "Fist of Legend " after that he sold out to hollywood to make crappy hip-hop films.
