Deadly im so glad you said "punk ish." So many of those bands are quite a few shades from punk.

New Rancid Sucks (to me)

J O P - Those arent little known Punk bands, but i do love Pennywise. Or if you really want to go mainstream, you could always list The Distillers :p

Most of the bands you guys listed are a bit...obvious.  If I was asking for little known Rock bands you guys would probably list The Beatles and Rolling Stones, I was looking for more independent, or small label punk bands.

wasnt sure if you wanted an intro to punk or just unknown
and lord they may not be unknown bands but theyre still the best i really hate most punk thats being made lately
anyway omen check out nomeansno they became my favorite band after hearing just one album and it wasnt even their best one
theres a band i saw once called The Line pretty good if you like aggresive stuff the guitar or bass player tried to pick a fight with me or somthing after the show dont know what that was all about
you could also try a band that me and luke are friends with called Sweater Girl kinda poppy punk but at least its catchy
