well, just got a call from the wifey..looks like she\'s takin me out to eat & get some drinks..lookin forward to it..should be cool...get my eat on..drink on..come back to tha crib for some fathers day poontang!

...after knockin down those drinks she better not talk about she\'s tired!

or i will have to steal it while she sleeps!

no biggie..tho since she likes to wear only my long t-shirts when we go to bed..easy access babay! since i\'ve been workin i\'ve haven\'t had any, so you know a brother is backed up something terrible!

should be a nice evening tho...

Seriously, I was raised a Jehovah\'s Witness and never celebrated any of these holidays. Now that I am no longer a witness, I still fail to see the point of holidays such as "Father\'s Day". Why dedicate one day to acknowleding your father? This is something you should do every day of the year. The same goes for "Mother\'s Day".. As for Christmas , I was being partially sarcastic about it being pointless, though I do not celebrate it.

So true, as America, we are one of the few countries who have not fully embraced the metric system and why is beyond me. The amazing thing is, the fact that a lot of things rely on the metric system in America.

Thats great vid. Made me laugh.

And LIC, i can see where you are coming from and i agree to a certain point, but realistically they arent completely pointless. To acknowledge ones parents every day for all their hard work as a parent is somewhat extreme. I dont know how you define acknowledge, but When i think of fathers day or mothers day, I think of actually sitting down and thinking of all the good things they have done vs. just being nice and greatful in an implied manner.

I cant say that i like those "holidays" but i can see the reason as a little bit more than pointless.

As for Christmas: It is easily more than pointless. What\'s pointless is what people have turned it into. Ive said it before, Im not uber religious at all but there is a logical point behind these so-called "holidays" (maybe not all of them, but many).

Me and my dad havent spoken in years and I cant even explain the type of person he is, yet Im never as bitter as you. Im actually quite possibly one of the nicest fellas you\'ll meet...accept I act a bit different on the boards. Life sucks, surround yourself with people that care about you and get over it.

with PSX_J, I deffinetly have a love hate relationship with my dad, he\'s old and he has crazy mood swings (we\'re thinking it may be a condition due to his advanced age) it\'s to the point where I avoid conversations with him at all costs because it\'ll usually end up in a fight, but I don\'t let it bother me. I deal with by focusing on what\'s good in my life and try to ignore the bad....or get drunk and beat up hookers so that I feel like a big man
