See Blade that was my point flipped around, while PS3.0 is more efficient, the moment you turn resolutions up and AA/AF, ATI still beats the 6800.
here is the benckmark for Pure speed mode (NO AA/AF)

ATI WINS HERE!
No let\'s turn AA/F on with high res

THIS time ATI TAKES EVEN A BIGGER LEAD with AA/AF activated.
So yes PS3.0 has improved speed(by how much that is debatable at this premature point), keep in MIND ATI\'s 3DC is going to incorporated in the 1.3 Far cry patch which should, just like PS3.0 did for the 6800, increase the performance of the card.
Again this whole PS3.0 issue is being blown way out of proportion by NVIDIA just like ATI\'s 3DC. Both have there advantages, however it\'s not until next gen graphic cards that we will see the full throttle mainstream pick-up of shader model 3.0 which does not add any visual improvements over 2.0, just speed.
