they\'re all quite easy, except the complex string one, but that one is doable too

They are time trials, except you\'re up against the developers times.  If you only have to get in the top 3 they are easy.  I ended up getting first on all of them.

It\'s a balance between a sim and arcade. If you want a sim, play Ferrari 355. Though that is a true sim, it\'s not as fun. Believe me, I spent a fortune on that arcade. :( GT series is a driving sim with some added arcade qualities to make it more enjoyable.

i was really only a true fan of the very first gt on the ps...because you could take an ordinary car, mode it, and have the option to put racing decals on it or not plus they gave you a few variations of the racing decals in the ps2 versions you can\'t do that...meh for the most part i just hated getting the licences...

Why even bother? I\'m sorry, GT3 looked  decent in anything but REPLAY mode. Any other time it was shimmer heaven and I would almost bet that GT4 will have this same problem, \'cept in REPLAY MODE or DEMO video\'s.

Count me not excited... Lack of damage, lack of fun and so on has plagued this series from day one - in my opinion, of course.

As for replay mode----->replay mode=The exact same graphics viewed from different angles

Lets see what other developers tried to spent time trying to add ultra realistic damage on each of the 500+ cars featured in the game according to the safety each car offers in real life.
Most people buy the game becuase they like it.And they are many.
Its not coincidental that there are many fans in these forums

Personally I am not a big fan of the series either but thast just me.Yet it doesnt mean I am in position to judge and trash the game becuase it doesnt serve my personal tastes.Becuase its not fun for you its doesnt mean its not fun.
Just ask the other members that enjoy it.

In truth Uni, the fixed camera in replays does get rid of the shimmers (texture aliasing in the background). So you\'re almost right in saying ingame and replay are the same.

I\'d like to see less shimmering in GT4 but only because it \'ll give the haters one less thing to bitch about.

I dont know what you people are talking about in terms of shimmering and i honestly dont care because w/ or w/o it, the game looks stunning and is incredibly fun IMO.

Im getting it asap.
