I don\'t approve. The bat symbol is not noticable enough.

Sorry, it looks like just another BS hollywood batsuit.  Can he turn his head?  That is the essential question.  If he can\'t turn his head, then it\'s just bs fakery.  All the layers of moulded rubber is just crap.  I wish they would have made it look like a real, functional suit with pieces assembled from real body armor.  Sort of like minimalistic SWAT armor.  That would have been a welcome departure from the goofy WB movie series.

Bale can move his head. That is one reason the cowl is not attached directly to the rest of the outfit. The original \'89 suit weighed a ton and was one big suit. Keaton could not move, but Bale will be able to move freely. You would never see Keaton in the classic poses we have seen this Batman in.

I am still not convinced it\'s not a fan rendering. It isn\'t Bale in the suit, no big sites have reported it, it simply just "appeared". It is not on the offical site  - which is where every big thing has been let loose to the public.  If I wake up tommorw, and Superherohype.com has announced it, I\'ll believe it. Until then, I say it\'s a fan project.
:)

Edit: After hittin\' up SHH boards, the general thought is it is an actual picture of the suit, without bale in it. The picture was taken for the toy companies to have something to model and has been leaked out  - thus not an offical release . I guess I will accept the suit, tho\' I\'m torn on the symbol / mask.

It\'s aight.  Not as good as the one from Batman 1, but certainly a big improvement over the last couple of ones.

It is pretty nice looking. It looks a lot better when it is in a dark area, in the ligh (the foward shot in the background) it looks kinda silly around the chest.
It was a darkness all my own, a song played on the radio, It went straight to my heart - I carried it with me - until the darkness was gone.

My main issues with the suit are..

(1) The cowl is to bulky.

(2) The bat-symbol should of been a dark black.

(3) The suit seems to be a simple evolution of the Kilmer suit  in the last twenty mintues of \'Batman Forever\' (the "sonar suit").

On the other hand - pictures like this always look odd.

Burton\'s \'89 suit. Pictures looks odd - but the suit was great.

The "Panther" suit, which was Kilmer\'s suit.

A model of the "Sonar" suit.

The Clooney suit.

And it could always have been worse...

The dreaded "ICE SUIT".

The panther suit was complete crap.

On other related notes.

(1) DCD confirmed there  would be DCD related \'Batman Begin\'s products. They said it would not be figures, so most likely look for some statue\'s ala \'Catwoman\'.

(2) Mattel seems to be on the ball with the recent \'Justice League: Unlimited\' line. I know I wil personally need to pick up a display case for all of them.

(3) Paul Dini confirmed they are hard at work recording commentary tracks for \'Batman: The Animated Series Volume 2\'. Along with tracks for a \'Superman: The Animated Series\' volume! This means, we will most likely have volume 2 by end of the year.

(4) DCD also confirmed first apperance figures of the Perez \'Nightwing\' (Think Elvis with a Disco collar) , Casandra Cain "Batgirl" (born from \'No Man\'s Land\' arc) and a first apperance of the \'The Riddler\' (which to date is only out via the "Superfriends" DCD line, but there will be a Hush Figure).

(5) Oh and Latino Review reports that select prints will have a \'Batman Begin\'s teaser , tho\' Goyer said it will be unvieled most likely next month (Alien Vs Predator? ).

Great time to be a Bat-Fan. I just picked up the First Apperance figure from the DCD line.

Lets also not forget that Justice League Unlimited airs for the first time this coming Saturday on Cartoon Network -- check your area for times.  Plus, Marvel\'s popular minimates line will no longer just be Marvel but will have a DC iteration as well with all the classic JLA characters as well as plenty of villains from that universe including Joker, Darkseid and others.  There will also be  The Batman specific figures based on vehicles and sets seen in the upcoming cartoon.

The Batman airs this coming fall on WB as well I believe.

Hush figure set 1 is out which includes Huntress, Batman, Joker, Poison Ivy, and Hush.  Series 2 includes Catwoman, Riddler, Superman, Jason Todd, Nightwing and I think a couple of others.  If you\'re going to own anything out of these two series, it has to be the Batman and the Catwoman figures.  Just absolute great sculpts based on Jim Lee art which is sported in LiC\'s current Superman avatar and a pair of previous Batman avatars we both had.
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

I will have to record Justice League: Unlimited. There is no choice...I will have tooooo...

I have picked up Jim Lee\'s \'Hush\' Batman & Joker figures. I was not impressed by the other one\'s... I will however pick up all of Wave 2.

As for \'The Batman\' , I think it\'s best we don\'t even go into that topic... I\'d hate to go on a rant that will be three pages long about how they are ruinin\' the story (Bruce and a batcave in the sewer?!?!), the characters (The Penguin with Red Hair?!?! Bane having Red Skin?!?!?!) and in general pissin\' upon the legacy that Timm and Dini done.

Echoing LIC\'s statement about the bat symbol not being bright enough : that has it function. And that is to attract gun toting baddies to aim at his bullet proof chest.

The comic book batman, as you all know, did not wear bullet proof padding. Otherwise, he would not be as agile as he wants to be.
