Al Sharpton

Okay. I just recently saw Al\'s speech at the DNC and I have to say that it was probably one of the best speeches of the entire event(better than Clinton\'s). It seemed like the audience, for the most part, loved it as well.

I was just watching the Daily Show and they were playing back what the pundits were saying about his speech and I was amazed. They were ripping him apart. Now I understand not liking the man but that was an incredible speech.

Thoughts? Does anyone even care?

Could you give us a link to his speech?

I actually watched his speech on tape. If I can find the video I will post it.

It was a pretty damn good speach. Hes a good speaker. Theres no doubt about that. I dont care whether you like him or not, but if you cant admit that fact, then youre just ****ing stupid and/or deaf.

It\'s a sad sad world when people start to defend Al Sharpton.

I would hardly rank that as a great speech.  Sharpton is a racist and he should really take a look at what he has done before saying Bush misled people - does Tawanna Brawly ring a bell?  A man of God? :rolleyes:

Also when giving a speech, it helps to use proper grammar.

what an excellent speech..anybody that says otherwise is a complete idiot..so what he ran into a small hurdle with twanna brawly...that is so small when compared to having the bin ladens as friends & sending troops to die when your info wasn\'t fully realized...give the guy a freakin\' break...just because he\'s on the scene whenever there\'s some type of racial injustice AND he speaks his mind he\'s a racist?!

i see why there will be no black president...because of a$$hole\'s ways of thinking in this forum...

and some will come right back & say "but clips any other black person would be a great alternative" colin powell..a few others that i can\'t think of right now may be true...point is is that it was a great speech i didn\'t find anything wrong with any of it...

Al Sharpton is a joke - people accuse Bush of being a divider - Sharpton takes the crown in that category.  Yes, he is a proven racist.

Not only from the Tawana Brawley incident, but from Crown Heights, the Central Park Rapists, Bernard Goetz incidents and the quote below is from Fredi\'s Fashion Mart Massacre:

friends with bin laden is of course stretching it a bit,..he was if i\'m not mistaken directly or indirectly tied to bin laden in some way..the above was stated in a heated vent...as far as sharpton goes...he had every right to question why somebody would say that about a funeral...princess di..died years ago and they are still glamorizing her death...let her die already...

what was the big deal in criticizing the funeral? none..whoever this editor was was just bein an idiot...i will agree with you on the part about who sharpton has in his entourage..maybe he let these individuals go that are in his camp yellin\' these profanities, cause i didn\'t hear near one during or after the presidential debates...

finally my post was strickly about his speech which i thought was great...if i would have found something wrong it whether he was black or white is not an issue...to me it was a well written speech and i find nothing wrong with it to be criticized the way it\'s bein\' judged...

It is impossible to overlook the race baiting idiot who gave that speech.  I don\'t even think anything he does is worthy of glorifying.  

Someone asked why all black leaders are "preachers" and the like... it must be the messiah complex they all share. :rolleyes:
