Anyone have DVR ( Digital Video Recorder)?

Viddy- Can you put in more than 1 HD in it yet?  Throw in a couple of 300gb drives in there and you\'d be good for a lil while.

LIC- http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5603019/  TiVo sounding a bit better.

ReplayTV users still have "Poopli" .  ReplayTV needs to get on the HD wagon tho\'.

Did I mention I had a bitch of a time gettin\' this unit up and runnin\'? It was unreal, it would take over an hour and then die at 93 percent. Could not figure it out for the life of me, said screw it, checked AVS forum and they had a lenghty explantion about it and large walk-thru. To much work for me, so I just moved the router, hooked it up to REPLAYTV , dialed out on my iMac and downloaded all the updates / guides.  Not practical , but it\'s only for the nite. I\'ll have to run the cable on my next day off.

What\'s the monthly charge on TiVo, Vid?

5 bucks total. I have two tivos so there is no additional charge for the second one.

Yes you can add a second hard drive, but until TiVO updates their software and makes folders for shows I couldn\'t ever handle a list that long.  You\'re talking a list of over 150 shows.

My mom bought my dad one for last Christmas(along with the lifetime service package).  He hates the Tivo (Cause he never bothered to learn how to use the damn thin... hes getting to the age where electronics are evil).  He just got digital cable and there is a built tin DVR, so Im trying to get him to give me his Tivo :)

TiVo is great.  Your dad is old.

Side not that sucks ass.

I set my Ultimate TV to record 30 hours worth of kids shows last week.  I wanted to have it for Logan.

Well I disconnected the UTV service last night and figured I\'d have access to what I had on my hard drive.  Good to go for Logan.  He can stay off my TV.

Well you need the freaking service to watch what\'s on your hard drive.

It freaking sucks.

I may just get another tivo.  I think they are like 75 bucks or something right now so it\'s pretty darn cheap.
