Here\'s another little tidbit Apple doesn\'t want you to know (on iTunes):

Jobs has one more reason not to be concerned about the competition. "The dirty little secret of all this is there\'s no way to make money on these stores," he says. For every 99¢ Apple gets from your credit card, 65¢ goes straight to the music label. Another quarter or so gets eaten up by distribution costs. At most, Jobs is left with a dime per track, so even $500 million in annual sales would add up to a paltry $50 million profit. Why even bother? "Because we\'re selling iPods," Jobs says, grinning.

I like iTunes but I\'ll never get an iPod.  Not saying it\'s a horrible device, just way too much for what it does imo.

Do you mean iTunes the music retailer, or iTunes the mp3 player application?  I use the player, but I have never purchased a song from them.  I have no interest in a proprietary file format, or the digital rights management BS that goes with it.

iTunes is a good player though.

I said that it was probably because of the small drive. READ. And i know that nobody is making my buy it. Its just that so many people have them and are talking about them like its the means to all ends. Of course i would love to have one but just not for that price.

Cored- I use iTunes to both buy and play music.  I only download singles though, when I don\'t want to buy the entire CD.  For my favorite bands/singers I just get the album.  I agree it makes an excellent player, Apple can really make things stable, sleek, and functional.

I purchased myself a 20 GiG Ipod just last night. How the hell are you going to put 40 Gigs of half decent music into that beast...

I like the all white look personally. I think it\'s 3rd generation but I\'m not sure and all I know is I probably won\'t ever have to buy another portable music player in my life.

Well having too little space doesn\'t seem like it will be a problem for me, haven\'t loaded nearly all my music yet and it\'s only at 3gb.

The iTrip ****ing kicks so much ass, while I\'m not getting the bestest hight quality sound ever it\'s more than enough for driving and no cables makes it so much more better.
