USA basketball=teh suck

They\'re terrible. Absolutley awful.

Am I the only one that finds myself rooting against the USA team simply becuase I dislike 90% of the players on the team? Sorry, I just can\'t root for a team that has Allen Iverson on it.

Personally, would much rather see J.R. Reddick and Keith Langford in Greece playing for the United States rather than these money hungry, pampered ballhogs.

meh,..all sports just isn\'t the same anymore..there used to be a time when you associate the player with the team..there used to be such a thing as team loyalty..not anymore ...when you thought of the knicks you thought of ewing & co..the bulls..jordan & pippen..the suns.. barkley..

now everybody is just chasin\' the almighty dollar...and does it really make any difference if you\'re gettin paid a few more million than last year? i mean if i was makin\' 20 mil..and went to another team for say 28 mil over some odd yrs...for loyalty sake i\'d stay with my team..you\'re still a millionare regardless right?...

I was in disbelief watching it yesterday.  The Italian team was throwing up threes like they were going out of style.  Not just throwing them up but actually making them!!  You could tell how comfortable they were with shooting beyond the arc.  The USA\'s play was absolutely sloppy and horrid,  they were running around with their heads cutt off.  Fact is, the Italian team had much better fundamentals...sure we have guys that can do all these really cool tricked out moves and dunks but that didnt matter.  Italy just played basketball the way it\'s meant to be played.  The only guy on the USA team I respect is Tim Duncan..

Well, Germany has taken the lead and is outplaying USA.  When will this fools learn a lesson and play basketball.  No one can shoot in the NBA anymore.  All they wanna do is dunk the ball and look flashy.  Play some defense and learn how to shoot the ball like they did in the 80s.  Worst basketball ever.... I hope USA gets taken to the floor everynight so it might just kick some sense into these overpaid morons.

Shaq is not the best center ever.  Wilt is.

-Kidd isn\'t even close to Magic at PG.

-Kobe isn\'t even close to MJ, if you wanna put MJ at SG.

-Shaq at this point in his career as opposed to 3 years ago is barely better than Ewing in his prime, and Robinson is a MUCH better backup than someone like Wallace.  If you look, at the better duo, it\'s by far the 92 team.

-At the forward spots, it\'s Duncan, Garnett, Artest, Marion, etc. against Bird, Barkley, Malone, Mullin, Pippen, etc.  This is the closest one.  Bird is prolly the best of all the players, but was past his prime at this point.  I also like the ones for today because they do play D, are unselfish, and do play the game right, but the same could be said about the older ones.  However, the big difference I see is no one on the modern team can shoot the lights out.  Barkley is the best rebounder of the bunch, and Mullin and Bird are the best shooters.  

Overall, yep  Go 1992.

Wilt only had that dominance because he played against short white people. If Wilt was in his prime playing today, it would be a very different story.

Dirk is playing for the Germans, my favorite player in the NBA...and get this, he actually has good fundamentals.

And omen, Peja is asking to leave the Kings if you havent heard.

All these players asking for trades are pissing me off. Whats the purpose of signing a contract if you can demand a trade?

They played alot better today but still started out real sloppy.  Often at times the other team will have one guy that just runs through all of team USA and scores a bucket.  They are having a difficult time stoping these little drives to the hoop.

Yeah, I heard this before he told the media.  If they trade him, I\'m hoping for Artest, VC, AK47 or Marion those are about the only guys I\'d like to see come in.  Though I don\'t think he\'ll be traded, the malofs want to keep him and he really isn\'t a stuborn, me first player, he can be swayed to stay.

Looks like the top talk is Artest going to the Kings.  As much as I love Peja, I think this would be best for both teams.  Pacers need shooting, and we need defense and a hard scrappy player.  With B Miller, Artest and Doug, we could be a pretty hard nosed team.

It doesnt make sense to have just one defender like that when the whole team needs to defend better. And I think Peja is way better than Artest. And if the Pacers get Peja, that could get them a championship. Did u know they picked up Stephen Jackson?
