What\'s the matchup tonight? Schilling vs. El Duque?

I honestly have no clue...meh. Not really paying attention...damn Cubs.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Schilling got pounded, although it was clear that he couldn\'t truly pitch with the bad ankle.

At a certain point, he could no longer top 91MPH and hung or misplaced a lot of his pitches. Mussina, however, looks absolutely fantastic. Awesome curveball, and great movement on the fastball.

Wow, I shook off the whole ankle thing, but this looks bad.  On top of it Moose is perfect through 6.

Time to concede game one and hope Pedro got that monkey off his back.

He didn\'t really start showing pain til the 2nd or 3rd inning out there, thats when it was beyond obvious that he couldn\'t be 100% but like they said him 85% is better then alot of guys 100%.

Yeah but no reason to keep him out there, there are more games to be played.

Oh, no doubt, but if he\'s that hurt he\'s a stud to even go out there, but whos to say its not hurting the team regardless of how he plays.

I agree with you.  But if he couldn\'t deal with it on like a week\'s rest, what makes us think he can do it on regular rest.

That\'s a big arm out of the rotation, and gives the Yankees a major advantage.

Finally.

At least Moose won\'t get a no-hitter. :P

I\'ll play spindoctor here.  The Yankees usually lose game one, and come back and win the series.  The one time I can remember the Yankees winning game one was against Anahiem, and they lost that series.

Wakefield was hittable, that\'s not a good sign seeing as how he was our secret weapon last ALCS.

Great game, though. Hopefully the Red Sox will win tonight then sweep at Fenway.

The curse strikes again...

Schilling might need surgery.

Pedro, Arroyo, Wakefield...

Not terrible. Goona have to ride that train for a while, though. Either that or throw Lowe to the wolves again.
