Anyone here packing heat????

I really want to get my ccw. I heard you have to through a lot of shit to get it. And it could take forever to even get it.  

If you have yours what did you have to go through and how long did it take? I know all states are different I hear in florida it\'s hard as hell to get a ccw. Don\'t know how true that is though.

And you think owning a firearm would not make you feel just a little bit safer? And what do you think most people have there ccw for? Or guns for that matter? Uhh protection.  I mean if your going to play the negative then what valid points do you have?

If I have the proper training to use a firearm.  What makes me kill myself? It\'s not like I am going to be challenging people to shootouts. I would just have the proper training to use a firearm should ever the need arise for me to use the weapon.

I\'ll back owning guns, I dig them but more for recreational use.  Skeet, and target shooting is pretty freak\'n fun, but as for concealed weapon permit...  I\'d feel too intimidating, I mean people would still see the buldge and the holster, as it is I have to go out of my way to make people feel as though I\'m not going to go into a steroid induced rage and kill people indisriminatly.

Guns are fun for shoosting targets in a safe area.  I\'d never get one just for safety.  I\'d much rather move out of my neighborhood if it was a real problem.
