Look **** nut, don\'t you even start on me. Do you think I would be dial up if I could get broadband? If you ever bothered paying any ****ing attention, you would notice I have said time and time again, I can\'t get broadband where I live, so don\'t even ****in\' start. Infact, why bother posting in this forum? The stupid forum (OFF-TOPIC) is down the hall and to the left. It\'s better suited for you.
Second..Steam just ****ing sucks. It is not 56k friendly and it is just plain stupid. You mean, I go buy a game and then I have to register for offline mode , but WAIT, OH GOD WAIT, Valve didn\'t plan ahead and give enough bandwidth to the Steam servers, so lord ****ing forbid that I register an account...Wait...After ten mintues of waiting...countless retries, I got the update and account created! YES! Oh **** no. Now I have to register the key, but it times out and says my ticket is expired... And let\'s not forget that the clinet itself is more unstable than ****ing Charles Manson on crack.
I paid almost a hundred bucks for this bullshit kind of headaches. All for once, I reach the great stage of unlocking I can see a screen that says..."Unlocking Half-Life 2 Game Files". Gee, thanks a ****ing lot. You\'re unlocking files I already paid for, around eight hours ago!
Quote from one of the many GAMEFAQ\'s posts regarding Steam and the problems.
his is the biggest bunch of bull%^& I have ever witnessed with a god damned video game. Not only do these morons not give you a manual and put the 5 discs in crappy paper sleeves, you cant run it without hooking up with steam, the biggest POS online service in existence. First however, you need to register it (which didnt work) and input the 500 digit security missle launch top secret code. I hope people pirate Valve into the ground, screw them all.

I never advoacted pirating, but I do now. I do understand what Valve was trying to do, but the whole execution was piss poor. No support for ICS. Not enough planning ahead for the servers, so a lot of people can\'t even create an aco**** and the very fact you have to create an account for offline mode is re-goddamn-liciousl. Updating is not the problem. The problem is the hassle a lot of us have had to go through just so we can get a stupid account, so we can go back to our offline mode. Why ruin such a great launch with a troublesome service
Kill a kitten.
Make baby jesus cry.
Most of all...
Pirate HL2 and f**k Steam.
