They shouldn\'t of had to investgate the issue. Come on, it\'s friggin unreal how many people have had problems. I got HL2 to run - but now I am having to deal with CS and HL Source problems. Steam is evil.

Just stick with HL2 and play the crap out of it.  Trust me, it gets REALLY good.  Your extended wait for the game to play was WELL worth it, LiC.

LIC Rules!!!! :)  Man what a rant - I admire that.  Anyway I hope it works out for you LIC and fret not, Vampire will be in stores tomorrow and from what I hear HL2 is a 10-20 hour game compared to Vampire being a 50+ hour game.  Sure most like HL2 better, but personally I was looking forward more to Vampire.

I Think most games have messed up servers on release day.... Especially on PS2.... especially with gamespy servers.... especially on star wars....

Thank you. I just hate this whole idea that we the consumer should have to wait for Valve to get on the ball. That us , the consumer, the one\'s upset, are impaitent and ungrateful. That is complete nonsense. I paid money for a product and I expect to be able to play it when I get home. I shouldn\'t have to wait for Valve to get on the ball.

I do agree this Steam crap is total garbage, but the game so far has been well worth the wait.  Wow, I have not been able to say that about a game in awhile.

Game is amazing. I will say that. It has atmosphere and graphics. Something Doom 3 only could hope for.

Glad to see you\'ve cooled down... I wasn\'t too happy about your language. :)

These kinds of hickups are to be expected. Sure in a perfect world there\'d be no STEAM and everything would work beautifully the moment you pop it in. But when probably millions of people are trying to log in at the same time, something\'s bound to go wrong, and the best advice is what Coredweller said - to chill about it and try again later.

Great you got it working though because so far I think it\'s an excellent game.
