ok has anyone experienced problems with CS:S ?

So far i have had my system reset during the start of a new round, along with the odd GFX glitch.

but then again its still early days for CS:S...  and we have still to get more skins for CS and Terrorists etc....

I wouldn\'t say it\'s the "early days" as I played the beta extensively.  Never ran into the problems you are speaking of.

I had a problem when I first tried to play Vampire (no HL 2, but a great game).  The screen was totally black.  Turns out you have to go into to your dxdiag and override your refresh rate.

Both games need patches.  Graphical glitches are numerous in Vampire and there are quite a few bugs in HL2.

How is the gameplay in Vampire? Debating on picking it up tommorw. Got five days off from work, then working one and off another four. Need something to keep me occupied.

As for CS:S - I played it abit online. No big problems. Not a fan of CS to begin with tho\'.

Yeah I don\'t like CS either...

Vampire will certainly keep you occupied for 5 days or more.  It has one main quest with a ton of side quests as well.  The gameplay is fine for an RPG.  Most of the time you are running around in first person and if you go into combat you enter a third person perspective.  I have found guns don\'t do much and hand to hand along with disciplines works the best.  The one thing I really like is that every thing you say in dealing with NPC\'s matters.  How you react in a conversation has some bearing on what happens later on.  Ton of stuff to see and do if you take your time and don\'t try and rush through the game.

I am getting 20 - 25 fps outside (which is normal from what I am reading on other forums) with my 6800 GT and everything maxed and 50-75fps indoors.  If you liked the first Vampire game as I did, you will like this one.

Lastly, the stutter that is in HL2 is in Vampire as well, but it not nearly as bad.  There are a few other bugs, but I haven\'t encountered anything that would ruin it for me.

I picked up Vampire, not sure on my thoughts yet.  The game seems to have plenty of bugs, but at the same time, it seems to be an entertaining RPG. I am still early in the game (at the Haunted Ocean house).

What Clan are you assoicated with, Giga?

Gangrel and I have a Malkavian.  I enjoy the Malkavian the most.  Too bad no MP - would have been cool to team up.

True. I got a Ventrue (or wtf ever). I have to say the combat tends to suck.

Finally had time to beat hl2.

[sp]Last ending effect in bullet time was neat but the story took a sudden sharp turn for about half a minute then went to credits.  Left me like WTF.  So what happens to Alex, your friends, you...  Not interested in the "it was all a hallucination" bit.

Is it so hard to make great interactive endings anymore?  Halo 1 springs to mind but I guess I\'m wanting more.[/sp]

vampire combat are quite easy.. you get realy powerfull. I put all my points into strenght - stamina - brawl - dodge(?) - potence - celirity

I have one amulet that amplify celerity and potence by 25% and another amulet that let them last 25% longer.

In chinatown i was owning the Thong beating the crap out of everything.

Graphic glitch are all over the place, and according to troika they are working on a patch that should resolve most of them.

My final though on this game: Graphic and voice acting and text story are superbe. the immerson into Vampire world is great. i would have love some sunset where you need to sleep instead of a one night game. the 50$ i paid was worth the 40 hours gameplay i put in the game, and will be worth even more when i\'ll play it again as another race. (when WoW is down haha :p )
can\'t see why not!

My main problem with this game is it is so buggy. There are times on my system, which is high end, that I drop down to around 10fps. Not to mention, I have had important characters in a mission freeze up and then I have to restart the mission. If they ever release a patch fixing most these problems, I will give the game another try, as it is, the game simply has to many bugs for it to be fun.

Samwise, did you notice this? :D

Summa, Kronor, Volym, Liter? (Amount/Total, Kronor (currency used in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland), Volume, Litres)

Where does the game take place? I heard VALVe were inspired by European cities when they designed this game.

Haha, hadn\'t seen that. But Fast, I heard that some of the monsters cry out in Danish/Norwegian/Swedish, but haven\'t really noticed myself. Apparently they have a Swedish soundguy. :)

Ah cool, I\'ll have to check that out. :)
I\'ll see if I can find a Sound Browser in the Hammer editor.

The world in which HL2 takes place mixes up many different "cultures" from different parts of the world. In some places Russian letters are being used, also there is a Café called the Baltic Café (The design of City 17 does look a lot like Riga if you ask me) ..
