I have to wonder if any of you know the true defintion of a snuff film.

A snuff film is someone who videotapes themselves or someone else actually...*gasp*...in REAL life, murdering/killing someone. Possibly for their own sick pleasure, or for selling it to someone else for money.

Movies that have hollywood-ized killing in them aren\'t snuff films...

exactly, what I meant to say was it\'s the closest thing to the "snuff film" concept. When you watch that part in the movie it\'s so gory it\'s give you a sense of snuff film. But it obviously isnt.


I had to do a report for school and the topic I chose was "snuff films-fact or fiction" Not because I\'m I\'m a sick twisted individual but because I wanted to do something contraversial "spelling" and would be pushing the envolope. I got an A+ heh.

What was your conclusion?

His conclusion would have to be the same as our Goverment, there are no such thing as a snuff film, meaning, there are no films that feature real deaths / rapes that are made for the simple fact of selling them to someone. That is unless Unknown has special contacts.

Do I agree with the goverment on this? No. I simply do not believe there is not some rich guy out there paying someone to rape and kill someone, so he can sit back in the chair and jack himself off. There simply has to be someone like that.

My conclusion was that a snuff film is nothing more than a rumor.


However I did mention the fact that at least one must have had to be made at some time. With child pornography and videos of live executions filmed by spectators, a snuff film would be as common as either if one would turn up.

So I called it a stailmate heh.

I was under the understanding that snuff films were specifically a video of someone being raped then being killed.

I think the rape part is snuff specific.

I have seen one or two of those videos, i think i saw one with the girl getting run over by a train,. When i realised it was fake i actually found it quite funny, like this other one where a guy got sent flying by a taxi then hit the other way by a delivery truck, like tennis, that was funny too.

People sell snuff films for profit, that\'s what makes them snuff films to begin with.  There not just a free download from the internet.

Ok I watched something so convincing but it was fake. Didn\'t want to bring it up but now I have to lol.

From what I remember a movie is being filmed or soemthing and they run out for the last scene so they pan over to the staff and director, the director walks over to a bed and on this bed there is a woman tied up and a little sedated, he begins to rip her clothes off and she start screaming.. As he\'s raping her "mind you this is all being shot as if it was real." There are other staff members trying to keep her still while they start cutting her fingers off and randomly cutting her..Then after the directors done they gut her and pull out her intenstins, then the screen goes black and you only get sound "we\'re out of film," "well then let\'s get out of here now" and then the sound dies or something. entier scene was about 20-30 minutes...

That was the most disturbing flick I\'ve ever seen later found out it was fake, but a damn good snuff film hoax.

if it\'s fake it\'s not snuff film. And I would\'nt call Meet Joe Black a snuff film roflmao.

not snuff flicks in general, but the death ones all together are generally fake?

The only \'snuff\' film I have ever seen was at a friends house about 3 months ago, and I believe it was totally and undeniably real.

It looked alittle old, maybe late 70\'s, early 80\'s, could even have been early 90\'s... anyway, there seems to be this press conference for this company, and there are about 30-40 people standing around a mini stage/lectern, some with camera\'s so I am assuming they could be media personel. Anyway, this guy comes onto the stage (I am assuming he is the CEO of the company) and he seems to be delivering business reports or saying a speech of some sort. After about 20 secs he pulls a gun out of his jacket and starts to wave it around fractically, and the audience seem to be in utter shock. Anyway, he brings the gun up and before its even near his face he shoots and the bullet goes through his neck and into his head, ripping half of it off before he falls straight to the floor. People start screaming but the camera is still filming. The amount of blood that was pouring out of his head was very disturbing, there was simply blood everywhere.

Anyone seen this one?

It was real and live too (I think). I can\'t remember his name, but I think he was in politics?

It looked absolutely real, too real in fact so thats why I assumed it was.

There was no sound so you kinda had to make out what was happening.

although your description is a tad different from what I saw but pretty much the same thing

He was balding with hair only around his head and not on top. Bud was a member of the pensylvania treasury commison and was convicted of accepting a 300,000$ dollar bribe

So he called a press confrence where he was expected to anounce his resignation, he began passing out various documents then pulled a .357 magnum from a brown paper envelope and asked everyone to leave the room, but all you can pretty much hear are the reporters yelling "No budd don\'t"

Then he just suddenly blows his brains out...also in this one an amazing amount of blood was gushing from his nose. Like someone turned on a fawcett inside his skull.
