Simple question, does it have a Single Player element to it, or is just MP only?

Now that I\'m quite a few hours into the game I can fairly say it is freakin\' awesome.

If anybody here plays on the Azgalor server look me up, my character name is "Luke" how original eh?

I\'m thinking about getting this but don\'t really know since the monthly fee is so high.  is this game really that good? to the point where you can spend 13, 14 bucks on it every month?  I\'m so busy with other stuff that I\'m lucky if I have a day to play it each week.  I don\'t know...and with all the server slow down I\'ve been hearing I don\'t think I should get on it that fast just yet...

their aint no server problem anymore. Most of the problem, like 95% came from the fact that few uber guilds all coordinate to join on the same server. Many people that werent in these guilds decided to play on the same server (PVP) to join the fun.

Wich resulted in "queues" and server outage.

Personally, i went with a low population, PvE east server. never had once a queue, had 1 server crash and 1 emergency maintenance (2nd day).

The server problem arent as bad as WoWboard leads to belive.

Playing on the Silver Moon PVE server.  This game is a blast - much better than my experience with EQ.

I\'ve been loving this game.  I pulled my warrior to level 13 when the game first came out over a day or so of play during thanksgiving break.  After that, I had to stop playing for 3 weeks because of finals and what not.  Now though, I\'ve been playing a ton.  I\'m a level 32 Undead Warrior on the Whisperwind server named Marrow.  Long live the Horde!

WoW is targeted directly as casual players, thats a big negative for me right off the bat.

the biggest thing i hated about WoW?  the bnet community.
yeah, Diablo 2 all over again.

don\'t get me wrong, EQ2 has it\'s own faults

You couldn\'t be more wrong about this.  I\'ve only run into one moron, but that had nothing to do with bnet and everything to do with the fact that he was just cocky and over zealous and got himself killed too much.  Everyone else has been nothing but great players.  A lot of the bnet community didn\'t filter into WoW because a lot of that community doesn\'t want to pay a monthly charge.  It\'s a fact of life that the majority of the spawn Blizzard has in their forum goers are those playing the games for free.  WoW kind of made them stay away from it.

not really, i dont care enough to get into a WoW vs EQ2 debate

i tried both, and played the one i like more

besides, if i wanted to play WoW again, the client was already cracked and no reason to pay a monthly fee when there\'s dozens of servers out there.

another reason?

Sounds like a lot of excuses to me.  It\'s cool though.  You don\'t like it, that\'s your prerogative.  I just didn\'t understand what made WoW more casual than any other MMO.
