Okay, here\'s my take: Both teams played like crap, but the Iggles made more mistakes, and at worse times. Save for a few crucial mistakes on McNabb\'s part, they could have easily dispatched the Pats.

Those Patriots though, they have the devil\'s own luck in the Super Bowl for some reason.

"That was quite a show, wasn\'t it? It was a well-scripted drama staged by the Patriots for the benefit of the public."

What about this game makes you think the Eagles will remain dominant but the Pats will fall off?

That is such a weird statement.

The eagles showed a lot of first time jitters. I mean the pats played like crap. Give a few plays and the eagles are your superbowl champs.

The pats had lady luck on their side. I don\'t see them winning next year by the way they played. I believe if we had a 100% T.O we would have been holding up that trophy.

And you gotta think that at some point that the Colts will finally get over the hump.

Give a few plays and the Pats cover the spread with 7+ to spare. I\'m tired of dumb asses coming up with excuses for why teams keep losing instead of why the Pats keep winning.

You say the you can\'t see the Pats winning next year because of the way they played but the team that they BEAT showed enough for you to expect them to win it all next year? You CAN\'T be that biased.

All these \'what ifs\'. What if Ty Law and Tyrone Poole were 100%? What if Eugene Wilson didn\'t get hurt in the first half? What if the refs didn\'t rob the Pats of a score on Brady\'s fumble recovery? Come on. The shit is so stupid.

TO was at 90% and played against a cornerback who was AT LEAST 5 inches shorter. Is it the Pats fault that the Eagles didn\'t capitalize on that match up?

GTFOOHWTOBS.

Haha, when the Steelers beat you guys back in October, all we heard were excuses. I know they came back and beat us again, but for eight weeks, all we heard was \'oh, we didn\'t have Corey Dillon\', as if he would have made any difference with the Pats being down by three scores.

The fact of the matter is that Corey Dillon DID play a huge role in that playoff win over the Steelers.

Not too mention Donovan McNabb played like crap as well.  That is the worst 350 yard performance I have ever seen.

If our DB\'s did this well with who... Randell Gay and Asante Samuel... imagine next year when they get Ty Law and Tyronne Poole back

When did I give excuses? When I talked about missing players from that game it was in the context of why we could beat you a second time and even then I said the Steelers were a really good team. I mean if you are going to assign statements from random Pats fans to me then I think it is only fair that you explain the time you said that Ben Roethalphabet was the best QB in the league and that you had the best team in the past 5 years.

Quddus is badically saying that the Pats are not good and that we only won because we were lucky. That in and of itself is bullshit. The AFC was better than the NFC (I am confident that any of the final four in the AFC could have beaten any NFC team in the Superbowl) and the Pats were/are better than the Eagles.

But he couldn\'t have in the first game, that\'s my point. You guys got down fast and totally abandoned the run. It\'s not like Kevin Faulk is a nobody.

I didn\'t assign them specifically to you. I wasn\'t even around here when that game took place.

And I\'m not saying the Pats are bad, obviously, they\'re one of the best squads of all time. I\'m just sick of them winning.

Funny, considering the Eagles for the most part out played the Pats, but gave the game away with turnovers, and still covered the spread with that TO ratio.

The fact is, the Eagles could have easily won, and one might argue should have won, or at least had more of a chance at it.  McNabb played like shit.  He cost them at least the three point margin with stupid mistakes.  I kinda figured he would, but oh well.

The fact is, it\'s simply not the same thing to say a couple of things going the other way and the Eagles win as to say a couple things go the Pats way and they win by more, because the Pats got all the breaks in that game.  And I\'m not saying that\'s luck...the Pats always get all the breaks, and it\'s in how they play the game.  But the fact is, one fewer turnover, and the Eagles could have easily won.  And it could have been one of several turn overs.

As for Corey Dillon, he was the difference in this game.  When the Pats could get nothing going on offense, and the Eagles were completely out pacing them early on, they turned to him, and he came up huge.  If I had a vote, he would have been my super bowl MVP.

And I don\'t know why everyone is saying the Pats played like crap.  They played exactly how you need to play to win a big game.  They established the run, something the Eagles didn\'t do.  They won the turnover game and played largely mistake free, something the Eagles CERTAINLY didn\'t do.  That\'s what wins championships.  That\'s what they\'ve done from the start of things dynasty thing they have going.  They played a hell of a lot smarter than the Eagles throughout the entire game, and it won them the Super Bowl.  There is absolutely no reason why they can\'t be right back next year.

As for the Eagles, they SHOULD be back next year, because honestly...who\'s gonna beat them?  The NFC is shit.  The only team that could be Super Bowl worthy in the near future is Atlanta, and then only if they add some key players and Vick matures.  But as of right now, I see no reason why they don\'t walk right back into the Super Bowl next year.

But yeah, bottomline, the Super Bowl was a hell of a game.  All you Eagles fans insulting the Pats have no reason to, and all you Pats fans insulting the Eagles have no reason to.  The teams showed they were damn evenly matched, and the game coulda gone either way.  The Pats won, as they seem to always find a way to in these games.  But either way, it was a hell of a game.
